  4. Woobles can be bad. I picked a case of them in Mexico a couple of years back. Wife made me sleep outdoors for two nights... in January. What kind of gun is it? Is the bolt/nut bottoming out before the stock it tight? Are all shims (if applicable) installed?
  5. Great looking bird and a very well composed shot! Looks like a magazine cover.....hmmmm... Congratulations!
  6. I've got that very same itch. It would be a great turtle gun!
  7. I took a nice gobbler in the snow back in the early 90's. It was about 35 degrees and there was a fresh coat of about 1" on the ground for opening day. Overcast and flurries when he came in. It didn't seem to bother him a bit.
  8. Two sub-species?
  9. Box calls can be OK on windy days, but for still days when the sound carries well, I prefer a slate call. The box call has too much volume to suit me and it puts the turkeys on alert just out of range too often for my tastes. With a nice soft slate, I can manipulate the volume to seem like the hen is farther away and I can "throw" the sounds to the right or left to guide the bird into position. When they come into range for me, they think they're still about 50 yards from the hen. Here's a decent video on box calls.

  11. You're always missing something. I thought I was adding another spammer notch to my gunbelt the other day. Much to my surprise, I was the one they banned

  13. Thanks!.....
  14. This is my weapon, this is my gun....
  15. These loads are below the minimum recommended load by the manufacturer. Did you know this? Has the gun been broken in using heavier loads? It may cycle the girly loads after proper break-in, even though it shouldn't. SureCycle makes aftermarket systems for Benellis and others. Check with them to see if their stuff fits SuperSport.
  16. Hey now. This ain't Myspace!
  17. Kits? I thought you wanted to see guns
  18. OK... Let's see. First, the BATF is most likely busy elsewhere. Second, They have a username and a maybe a city, and MAYBE a Photobucket account. Then, they have to be naive enough to believe that the pictures we post are of our own guns and not just pictures we dug up on the net somewhere. Then they have to find us based on all this anonymity. Then they have to go before a judge and get a warrant for something they saw on the Internet.
  19. Don't doubt it a bit. My SBEII is about 30 turkeys shy of catching up to the 870 I had for 25 years.
  20. second pic is missing G]
  21. Good Job! I'm glad someone finally posted a picture that fits my screen What's that thing on his leg, the price tag? Where's the Benelli?
  22. Yes, but if you like the other one better it's both easier and cheaper to make the change permanent
  23. Here's what got this morning's bird. This call has taken more than all of my others combined. When they're hanging up at 75 yards out, this is what I go to. I can turn it and cup and change pressure to make it sound like I'm here, there, close and far.
  24. 21 lbs. 11.5" beard 1-1/4" spurs 20 yards
