Wonder why they bleeped "Sporting Gentleman"? Crazy ain't it?

I shot the 8 pointer first. Congrats on your bow kill! I gave up bowhunting several years ago because of a shoulder problem and because the weather's too hot, and because I hated tracking wounded deer half the night. Shoulder's fixed. Weather was very good this year. Crossbows are now legal here in regular bow season. Hmmmm.....

The barrel length has very little to do with the pattern density. A 26" or even a 24" would pattern nearly identically. Watch episode #3

Use Cylinder or Imp. Cylinder. Use Federal Truball Slugs. Always keep gun pointed in a safe direction. Never transport a loaded gun. Turn off CAPS LOCK when posting in the Interwebs.

So far, I've taken about 1.5 lbs. off of it. After this season, I'm going to turn the barrel down to a medium varmint weight and that should get another 1.5 lbs off of her.

if you want to settle for the individual components, Midway USA has the optic with rings. All you'd need to add is the 93 base.

It's a Benelli package, so it's pretty much going to have to come from a Benelli dealer. Check with the dealers in your area. Use the dealer locator on this site and start dialing.

I don't think it would be an issue. I believe the polymer is bonded to the metal. Not just an overlay.

The effect of recoil on silicone.

There isn't one. The best you're going to be able to do is to put a 24" smoothbore on it and shoot smoothbore slugs. You could, I suppose, get a RH bolt and RH slug barrel and convert the entire top end. The lower receiver is the same, except for the safety.

Close to IM. Out to 40.

Nope, Just one of these per deer

A reducer may affect the cycling of lighter loads, but I've never had any problems with my 3" and 3.5" waterfowl loads. If you need a reducer in order to be able to shoot trap and light field loads, you may want to consider knitting instead of shooting.

Dude! You keep posting and Benelli's gonna have to put on another shift Great pics.

Not the ones in the public forums. Every now and then I get hate mail through the PM's. skidaho and M1014 are by far the worst offenders

The rare and elusive Pink Phase Bighorn! Nice Ram! Great shot!

As mudhen says, the set is the way to go, but if you'll re-read my original answer you'll see that I wrote "Primos Dead Zone (D)" The D is for Decoy. I use the (D) tube for everything, and it's the tube you want for shot sup to 40 yards. Beyond 40 is where I'd recommend using the P tube, and then only with something better than steel.

Three years is ample break-in, that's for sure. Is it failing on the first shot or subsequent shots? As you probably know, the lsightest bump on the buttpad will cause the action to open just enough to be a problem, so be careful when sitting it down in the blind or on the line. This can cause the failure of the first round. Three years of heavy use. It may be a good idea to replace the recoil spring.

Oh, but how can I not reply? I mean, you're checking and rechecking this thread, just hoping for one, aren't you? I've already discussed the facts relating to the DU case in my area. And, yes, they are indeed facts. If you're really concerned with predation, then Delta Waterfowl is the way to go. Delta maintains that the reduction of predators on nesting grounds is THE single most important issue to duck numbers. DU wants to buy up a bunch of land for habitat, which is fine by me. But DU also does their political favors like the one in my area. Have a great day, eh. [ 11-13-2006, 09:45 AM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]

Here are Randy L's pics. Nice ones too!

Are you talking to me? It's a bit hard to tell with all the poor grammar and spelling, but I think you're saying that you support DU, don't like living in Canada, and can't find the Shift key. Thanks for playin'.

Pa Lawman, Quoting this source, "Basically, if you're familiar with the "heads up" display available to the pilots of modern jet fighters, then you have the concept of the HOLOsight in a nutshell. With what Bushnell calls "advanced holographic technology," a shooter using one of these sighting devices can quickly acquire and engage targets with virtually none of the problems associated with conventional optical weapon sights. Without worrying about parallax or magnification, you can keep both eyes open while shooting. And unlike optics that rely on crosshair reticles which should be centered on the same axis as both your intended target and the pupil of your sighting eye, you do NOT have to have the center of the HOLOsight's projected reticle in the center of the lens. Once you've adjusted the unit for elevation and deflection, you never need to waste time centering the reticle on a target before firing. It's real simple -- if the reticle is on whatever you want to shoot, just pull the trigger. Don't concern yourself that perhaps the center of the reticle happens to be in the lower left corner or the upper right corner or just a little to the left of dead-center. The position of your head is NOT critical when using this sight, and that is the beauty of this system."

Cool! They do make one! Now, I wonder if they're available stateside, or is that considered an assualt weapon part?
