Have your serial number at hand and call CS. Some of the earlier models had this problem. They sent free replacements to customers who called.

I snagged that one off of ebay for $445. It's the older model VX III with the 1" tube and AO. I watched ebay listings twice a day for about three weeks until this one showed up. The reason it didn't bring more was because the seller made the title as "Leupold Scope". People searching for Vari-XIII, 6.5X20, and so on didn't find it unless they check the option to search in the item description. When I got it, I was more than pleased. Appeared to be brand new, possibly a display model. Be careful if you go to ebay looking for one. There's a seller on there now who I'm pretty sure is a crook. He's hiding his feedback, and when I asked him about it he offered no explanation other than to say that's why it's private. He's around 85% and his ID has been changed recently. He also won't accept PayPal. Checks and MO's only.

The stock cracked while firing. The grain ran straight from butt to grip and it just cracked. The wood stock, in my opinion, is too thin and light. The ComforTech would have been my preference, but they weren't avaliable last year. One thing the above photo doesn't show. The bolt handle snaps out and then the entire bolt assy. is easily removed. This makes it a cinch to clean.

Count me as one those allergic to the stings. Not to the point of being life-threatining, but a single honey bee sting on my finger can make the entire arm swell and ache. That's why I enjoyed the shot so much! As for the groundhogs, number 32 for this season was taken about 20 minutes after the wasp. Here's the best group of the day. I should've stopped at 3

I think she said, "Benelli cycles are faster than Winchester shotguns". [ 08-26-2005, 09:12 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]

Weird how some women go straight for the freaks, isn't it? Cindy Crawford - Lyle Lovett Angelina Jolie - Billy Bob Thornton Thing is, these relationships never last and the freaks are left wishing they were more like us Brad Pitt types

I was trying out my Savage model 12's new laminated stock and the new Leupold 6.5-20 yesterday when a wasp landed on the pallet holding the target at 125 yds. I'd just dialed it in, so it was impossible to resist. I could tell by the position of the hole that I was real close. When I walked down to check it out, there was a .224 hole with a wing stuck to one edge You think the taxidermist can do anything with a wing? [ 08-26-2005, 04:36 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]

Sooooo.... you breech etiquette, skip the dare, and the double dare; and go straight to the DDD?! Besides, I could never challenge Nelli Girl. She's so cool, she's hot [ 08-26-2005, 04:18 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]

You got me there It was a work-at-home thing. Removing viruses, malware, etc. from customers' computers, enjoying a beer or two, and charging them hefty sums. This is job 2, but sometimes it pays more than job 1

I like the heavier payload of the 3.5's for late season ducks and geese. Being from the SE, you know how tough and wary the birds can be by the time they make it down this far. Also handy for Gooblers.

Accuracy - R1 is as good or better. YMMV. Durability - BAR may have slight adavantage. I say this because my R1's stock cracked on the second day of use. Other than that, no problems. Reliability - I think the R1 could go longer between cleanings and still function normally. Mine's never given me any trouble mechanically. Maintenance - The R1 has a distinct advantage. Takes down in seconds with no special tools. Can clean the barrel from the breech end. Barrel extends to make the top of the receiver, so when you take it down, everything is wide open. Here's mine

Actually, sprigg, I use Mojo, not robo. And I still find it amusing that you'd use the latest greatest in shotshell and shotgun technologies, but draw your imaginary line at the use of legal robotic decoys. If you're such a great duck talker, why not use 2-3/4" light steel loads. Surely, your calling prowess can make them land on the gun barrel I know, I know... you could do that, were it not for those Ba$tards in the next blind using those sexy robots. Good luck hunting this season - with your loin cloth and your stick!

The R1 trigger is not adjustable. An experienced professional could improve it by polishing the engaging surfaces of the sear. My trigger guage only goes to 72 ounces, and it wasn't even close to releasing. Hey Benelli, why not buy Savage Arms and put the Accutrigger on the R1?

I'd call Grandma Tharp, a Kentucky tobacco farmer. Her bull last year scored 324! It was taken on Starfire WMA. [ 08-21-2005, 05:44 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]

As Drundel's question as indicated, they were done in Adobe Photoshop.
