That was really the only thing you posted that had remote chance of being based on facts of any kind, so yeah, I picked that one. The rest was discounted as incoherent psycho-babble. No. I'm not kidding. Rather than continuing to spew and rant from what is obviously the exhaust port, how about putting up some real information for discussion?

I'm eager to see your data on that one. Please post it up.

Slugo, That was a good one! A sincere LOL!

That's the sound 12 lbs of VA resident goose makes when it free falls 20 yards into squishy muck! They leave an impressive crater too. The two that didn't hit the mud stone dead got stuck and couldn't go anywhere. 13 this morning. We could have stayed and gotten more, but it was getting hot in a hurry. I've been nothing but impressed with Black Cloud so far this year. A couple of these 40-50 yards out.

Yeah, let's get rid of him. lol, indeed. I mean, isn't nine months long enough to turn a $3 trillion deficit into a surplus, bring two wars (one completely unnecessary) to a close, and bring the entire out of the economic ditch that the previous administration drove us into? Gun-grabbing, you say? Other than doing away with the ban on firearms in national parks, what new guns laws have been implemented under the new administration? What's that again? I'm sorry. I'm not hearing you? Ahhh yes. There it is. The great ACORN scandal. After numerous attempts and failures in major cities across the nation, the ambitious hidden camera film crew finally found themselves an ACORN worker who gave some really bad advice in Baltimore. Imagine that. A corrupt and immoral person in Baltimore. Whoda thunk it? If they wanted to expose corruption and a lack of morals, they could have saved themselves quite a bit of budget and just hung around Hypocritical Headquarters, aka the GOP. Pick a governor from SC who goes off the grid to visit his girlfriend in South America. Or how about an assemblyman in CA, noted for his strong "family values" positions. Who knew those positions were from the Karma Sutra handbook on the nightstand of the Energy lobbyist hottie? A good spanking indeed. lol

1. I don't know anyone by that name. I'll assume you're referring to President of the United States. If that's the case, then I think the fact that he IS the President of the United States pretty much covers it. 2. I don't pay much attention to anything that comes out of Canada, with the exception of migrating birds. 3. Sore losers are still losers, just less gracious than they should be.

Don't forget to make one for kitty too.

I would expect that the same rains that made things so good for ducks had the opposite effect on non-waterfowl species.

I share office space with a welding and machine shop. They have a specific policy against working on firearms, other than mine off the clock or course, due to liability concerns. You'll be hard pressed to find a good shop that will touch it. You really don't want a bad one touching it. So that leaves you with the true pros. The likes of Briley. They'd probably do the work, but you'd better go to them with a loaded wallet.

I won't say it's impossible. The greatest challenges will be in finding the ring for the Monty and finding a smith who'll do it. My advice is to either trade the Monty for an M2 or sell the barrel and buy a Mossberg or Remington slug gun.
-
That appears to be an M1/M2 slug barrel. Either you didn't know what you were buying or they didn't know what they were selling.
-
Yep, wrong barrel.
-
I'm not aware of a slug barrel for the Monty, so I'd say you got the wrong barrel. http://www.benelliusa.com/parts_and_accessories/barrels.php

I think how one approaches certain problems often times dictates the outcome. I reckon.

I've recently indicated an inkling to try out the new Browning Maxus. Then I decided to give the new gun a year in the hands of others to see how it holds up before making a final decision. Meanwhile, I have just had two different friends who have needed parts for a Stoeger and a SBE2. After dealing with what can only be described as the Goddess of customer service, my friends should have their parts in hand very soon. This experience has made me acutely aware that there is much more to a company than what we buy and bring home from the gun store. Given the level of service I have received today from Benelli, I just can't see myself even wanting to try anything else. Sure, I may buy a new gun next year, but it will be another Benelli. Goddess of Customer Service (you know who you are), if you're reading this, THANK YOU! again for being one of the great people who make this such a great company!

Can't wait for the, "Hey, ya'll watch this!" moment on this one.

Looks like he found the macro setting!

You need to sell one of those museum pieces and get a digital camera.

Breakfree CLP or Hoppes Elite.

As mentioned in your other thread on the same topic, the gun must be fired in order for the second round to be release from the magazine. The cartridge drop lever is used to manually release a round from the magazine without firing the gun. You can manually cycle the bolt all day long, and no cartridges will be released from the magazine until you press that lever in. IF the gun fails to cycle under firing, then you have another problem. Have you had the gun apart? More to the point, have you had the trigger group out?
-
What happens when you press the cartridge release button? Disassemble, clean, re-assemble and check for function.
