  1. Oh no you didnt do that did you? oh well...you didnt need to do any of that. Just remove the trigger assembly and unscrew the stock, reciol pad and all. Simple. Then screw the PG for the tele stock on and install the butt section of the telestock.
  2. This is what is called marketing and people photographing guns that know nothing about them. Sometimes a picture is flipped of something that is LH but only in negative to help bring the customers eye to something that is different about the product. If you'll look, all the RH guns point in the same direction. Its a catalog thing with pictures used by companies world wide. Youd be surprised of how much CG they use in them. So to answer your question, nothing is wrong, they didnt mess it up, they are all like that.
  3. Think you read it wrong. Thats not for the Nova but for the M1, M2, SBE 1&2. Nova only needs changing the barrel. The modified forend is only for them, not the Nova.
  4. Sounds simple. Remove the trigger assembly from the receiver. This will free the bolt. When reinstalling the trigger assembly make sure you have the bolt release button pressed in all the way as you intall the assembly into the receiver. Also hold it there while you insert the trigger pin. What you've done is haste was to jam the carrier of the trig assy into the bolt release. It must be held out of the way while inserting it.
  5. I dont own a M4 but I have seen this happen on a friends gun also. This, I would say, is extremely troubling being it is such a major component of the gun. He sent his back and they replaced the bolt carrier. Havent had any problems as yet but only about 200 rounds since. I think its time the M4 owners started bugging the crap out of Accokeek for some real answers. The SHOT show is just around the bend and they shouldnt want this kind of bad pubicity. Excellent weapon otherwise but this must be solved.
  6. Yeap, thats about it. No scrubbing really needed. Id just watch it if you use bug spray or stuff like it on the camo or your gloves. Its been known to remove camo on just about anyones guns. Oil the metal, wipe down the camo.
  7. Dont worry with solvents, just get a Hoppes Tornado brush. Its a spiral wound stainless steel brush. Its used dry, without any solvent and in the 4 years of heavy use on my SBE bbl removing lead and plastic, it has never hurt it. Trust me, if you get a solvent tough enough to hurt any chrome lining, it'll dissolve the brush before you get it into the barrel.
  8. All Benelli receivers are aluminum.
  9. WHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! So your gun broke, so what! Ive seen M4's put through more abuse than you could ever dish out and they never failed. Im not doubting yours had a broken part, but Im sure only about 50000 or more of those parts have been made and god forbid not every one of them may be the most perfect single piece of metal ever made. Im sure nothing that you or anyone else in the world has ever bought anything has ever broken. Thats why there are gunsmiths and auto mechanics. Things break, its a fact of life, get over it. And just because yours breaks does not entitle you to anything extra.

    Question

Yall sure can overcomplicate things. Mine was a little off, never liked the idea of a mid bead anyway. I just took mine out, they are just screwed in. Dont know what youre shooting at 100 yards for, its a SHOTgun designed to shoot shot in a pattern, it aint a rifle. If you spend too much time looking at the sights instead of letting the rib and front sight guide your eye youre gonna miss your target anyway.
  11. Dont know about grease but a basic cleanup wouldnt hurt it. But do oil it. A new gun needs oil though. Dont worry about it being a little oily. Put some oil on the bolt rails and shoot the crap out of it to help break it in. Oh, and have fun!
  12. Make sure you have sufficient oil in the gun. The myth that "you dont need to oil a Benelli " is entirely false. Get some oil into the recoil assembly and put some oil on the bolt rails, it'll make a big difference. Also let the bolt slam shut, it's the way it's designed to work.
  13. You might want to check your gun to see if it's oiled properly. The myth that "you dont need to oil a Benelli" is untrue. Make sure the recoil assembly is well oiled and also some oil on the bolt rails. I know that even after 1 case of trap loads a few drops of oil in these places make a huge difference. To tell you the truth, the bolt moves the same amount on all size shells.
  14. Sounds like you did everything you could. The only thing I'd suggest is that you invest in a Hoppes tornado brush, SS and spiral wound. Use it to remove any excess lead and plastic residue from the barrel. Use it dry, no solvent of any kind and it will clean it to a spit shine.

    Nova

The number is also on the receiver where you put the shells in.
  16. Although it is possible to put a recoil reducer in a SBE 2, using the light loads will not. It is a hunting gun designed to function with heavy loads. You wanna shoot pee dab loads get a gun designed for them. A recoil reducer will kill the function of the gun with 2 3/4" loads even 3 dr 1 1/8 load. Remember....it is an INERTIA operating gun, if you make it too heavy to recoil....it wont work...hint hint. Just my 2 cents.
