  1. It was 34 degrees this morning when I got in my truck at 7:20 to go to work. Last night we went out riding our four wheelers and on the way back to the truck I ran into five ruffed grouse, all in the same spot. Was awesome! Excited for Friday.
  2. Friday after work, the dog and I will be going to see if we can reduce the resident grouse population. Three and a half more days. Dove opens up then too.
  3. Now you too can hunt high fence!! Picture credit goes to 18javelin.
  4. Isn't that SgtCathy?
  5. Nevermind. Answered my own question: http://fwp.mt.gov/FwpPaperApps/education/huntered/HEM_Chapter5.pdf#search=%22how%20far%20does%20shotgun%20pellets%20travel%22 Page 7. [ 08-18-2006, 01:42 PM: Message edited by: sdkidaho ]
  6. I know, that's somewhat vague, but can anyone give me an idea of how far shot will travel? From 2-3/4" #7's to 3-1/2" #4's?
  7. I can't comment directly about those choke tubes, but one thing I notice most of these guys comment about is that if you hunt with buddies, they aren't going to like you and your ported gun. Something to consider.
  8. He'll just have to keep admiring my gas operated auto-loader for now.
  9. They are having a sale.
  10. I've been using my Nova 20ga for a few years now - excellent gun. I just recently bought an Xtrema 2 so it'll be getting some upland hunting this fall, at least until I buy an O/U. Looking at the Browning Cynergy for that.

    Double B

I finally went out and got a 12ga autoloader. Now before you kick me out, just remember, it's all still part of the "family" I bought the Xtrema 2 in 26", and black. So now I have a the Double B - Benelli and Beretta. I think I'll work on the triple B and add in a Browning next. I still have the trusty Benelli, so don't kick me out!
  12. Republicans all?? WTH? Dumb-asses. And I must be extremely lucky because I've rarely if ever had to wait in any type of a line to buy my license or stamp.
  13. I like a guy that can have a good conversation and admit when he might have been wrong and still hand out some good advice. Good thread.
  14. Ollie, My first shotgun was a Benelli Nova. I am an utter novice when it comes to shotguns, and I am certain I have not maintained my shotgun like it should be, and after several years of use it is still pounding away. I don't think you could go wrong with a Benelli Nova or Supernova.
  15. Sure would like to see how that blind finally turned out...
  16. Not a problem if they don't make any sporting models with gas. I was just curious more than anything. No worries... I'll at least keep my purchases in the family.

Their main page is back up, but their forums are still down.
  24. With the M4 being gas operated, why doesn't Benelli have some of it's hunting line-up with gas operation? Just curious.
