SBE2

How big is that nut? Is there any thing like locktight on the nut that I may have to worry about? Just got me a new SBE2 SteadyGrip and am also cleaning out the shipping grease, but is cleaning out the grease of the trigger assy vitail? It doesnt have that much motion in there and the grease would help prevent rust And I put some rust preventative in there.

Question number 1: I have heard that you cant get a gun CLEANER on the camo finish of our gun but can oil get on it. I have been making sure that not a drop of oil or cleaner gets on my new SBE2s finishes, but an I worrying to much about the oil? question number 2: I was considering putting a mag extinsion on my new SBE2 SteadyGrip, 1 to have 2 more shells and 2 to reduce the recoil a little. Should I try or not try, and is the extinsion durable?

A M2 Practical maybe. Not sure.

Just ordered a rhino .660 2" for my new SBE2 SteadyGrip. Think I'll try some Nirto's or Win. Xteneded. I'll let ya know how it does.

Will heres how I ended up with 2 SBE2s. Mt father ordered me a SBE2 SteadyGrip a week before Christmas for Christmas. The dealer said it would only take a week but as the time grew beyound 2 weeks I called and asked where it was...he said it would be here before turkey season. As more time passed we called customer service and asked where it might be or could they speed the process up. They said they no longer make the gun and stock as a single model. So my father and I were very frustrated. Sense we thought the dealer was crazy for not knowing of the cancelation of the model we went to another dealer who had one SBE2 Comfortech 24". So we bought that and planed on getting a stock for it...well of course the first dealer calls us last Friday saying the SteadyGrip SBE2 is in. My father then desided to get that one to because the dealer did just what he said he was going to do...get it before turkey season. I guess if my father and I were a little more patent we wouldn't have to spend the extra green, but now I have the SteadyGrip model for turkey and the Comfortech for everything else, plus my fathe also can use the Comfortech for turkey. What about a Bore Snake. Will that hurt the chromium bore?

Just ordered my steadygrip stock for my new SBE2, but the dealer said it would take 6-9 weeks to get here. Turkey season will be almost over when it gets here. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process, or does anyone know a place where they have a brand new stock or a place that can get one here quickly.

I have a 24" barrel but my guns use is turkeys. But I think if you are only useing it for turkeys and small game like rabbits, squirrel, may be even dove and not duck and geese. go with a 24".

Went to Surplus City and FINALLY got a SBEII Comfortech and the dealer said he will have some Steady Grip stocks in Tuesday.

Well I have found some angering news, the SBE2 SteadyGrip has been discontinued. But I have not given up. There is a Surplus City here that has a SBEII comfortech 24" barrel that I plan to get this weekend and the dealer said the buyers are out getting things such a STEADYGRIPS! I'll get one and hope its here before turkey season. If worse comes to worse they also have a SBEI SteadyGrip.

Russ I really want a SBE2 steadygrip, and there is a gunshop near by that has a SBEI steadygrip if I end up having to get a SBEI. And i have just found out that my father has found another gun dealer who claims he can have a SBE2 SteadyGrip here in 1 1/2 weeks. so i guess will order one from there and which ever dealer gets the gun in first thats where will buy. I ment my whole gun not just the stock.

Its taking my SBEII SteadyGrip a little while to get here. Tommorow (Jan,27) it will be 5 weeks, but the dealer said it would take 2. I know this might not seem that bad compared to other shipping times, but with turkey season closeing in I'm starting to get nervous. I don't think there will be a change to the SBE2 but I'm not sure better call.

thanks for the help guys. I have chosen to go with the Rhino/Nitro combo because of what I have heard. Ha! now I have to figure out what constriction of choke to get. I have heard .660 and .673. Any help on this matter will be appreciated.

So on the SBEII you do not have to use heat correct, you just unscrew it?

I was woundering from the fellow turkey hunters what constriction of Rhino choke and what size Nitro load that they have found works best in there SBE2 with a 24" barrel. Thanks, SBE2

Do they make one that fits a SBE2 Steady Grip?

Russ I have a Benelli catalog and in it has a section of stocks and fore-ends. It does not have it pictured but it has a picture of the SBE Steady Grip and under it has M1/Super Black Eagle Steady Grip and M2/Super Black Eagle II Steady Grip (specify model).
