I know this might seem weird but back to TOPIC, i allways look at something for a long time before I purchase something and no i do not take and tear a firearm down in the gunshop prior to purchase but i do look it over depending on the price of the firearm. I figured that since my SBEII only had minor rub marks on it that it would pass my test and it has been SIMPLY PERFECT since day one! Seems Matchshot had Cabelas step up and fix the issue without him going to Benelli, but someone had to go to Benelii to get it taken care of and KUDOS to Cabelas. Lotta places are once ya paid and walked, it is between you and the manufacturer. I feel Benelli would do the correct thing for the consumer if it was not his fault the coating was damaged. since this thread has so many views due to its topic i would suspect a lotta people will be looking a little closer before they throw down them Andrew Jacksons. MY SBEII has been a smoke pole since day 1 and thank god i have been happy with it:D I also feel during warranty time that Benelli would fix anything and probably a lotta things they are not even required to fix just because they are BENELLI! So yall give props where props are due and do not be so slow on saying thanks once ya bad mouth something and need to make things rite! CROW? taste good to me but i am an Arkanite trapped in NM:eek:

http://www.nwtf.org/cgi-bin/htsearch?config=&restrict=&exclude=&method=and&format=builtin-long&sort=score&words=turkey+predators seems your friend might be smarter than you give him credit for? from what i read in only a couple of articles they have a LIST of predators and it all says its best not to mess with mother nature? But coon is real good on the BBQ grill if you boil him for a long time first!!

http://www.e-gunparts.com/products.asp?chrMasterModel=4150zM4%20SUPER%2090&MC= one outta 2 is not bad? any authorized benelli dealer should be able to sell or order either one? Try Brownells special order dept?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shotgun_slugs did not know they had been making the slug that long? i guess the rifled slug would be the new type. I know of a lotta people that would not think twice about using a smooth bore for filling the deep freeze with deer hams and have been doing it their whole life and that i guess means why waste money on a rifled slug barell when what ya got will do? i guess some people just wanta complain about the price of something they did not need to start with?
-
is that Democratic Mustard in the Benelli call center? Maybe he might know where the R1 Cammo stocks went? I bet that mustard would protect pretty well for rust on barell!

Teflon is problem i have with Remoil, that and Remington makes it, i use MILITEC-1 Synthetic and Hoppes #9 oil, use CLP on reciever when stripped but hand applied on rag or brush and use as little of it as i can get by with. never had a drop of rust on outside of barell using Hoppes oil and started using Hoppes #9 Solvent instead of CLP recently, like it better! Were you once one of the Marketing Team Executives for Benelli and now a disgruntled employee?

Ok Crystal Ball has warmed up! Benelli just told me that they have been in BO status for a LONG time and they only get from customs say 25 to 30 guns at a time and that they have been filling allready paid for Cordoba orders since last year and continue to fill BO before they will be in Retail stores ,if ya want one BUY one and wait? They like all other Companys have the wonderful machine ya gotta talk to but i was on hold only say 3 minutes and if Benelli Italia only ships them in small quantitys what can be done is very little. She said if ya want one order one and it will go BO and this is not too uncommon cause it took me 4 months to get my SBEII back in 2003. Why they can't get outta BO status i have no clue and they said they get what Benelli ships them and they send to dealers that have the first or earliest BO dates and trying to guess why it's like this is not in my Crystall Ball. I will say their CS is outstanding just like my FLAWLESS SBEII!

unusual symptoms and i would call Benelli and talk to someone other than opertaor since this is such a weird problem! what brand round is this happenning with?

Remoil has to be cleaned out of the inside with a solvent and will not come off without using a couple applications on complete area where ya used the worthless crap! Break in really simple, Benelli Dealer was told by Benelli Rep that ya need to shoot 3 boxes of the heaviest ammo planned to ever be shot thru shotgun. i shot 30 not 300 3.5" Hevi-Shot at 2 different outings and my SBE has been SIMPLY PERFECT, no FTF,FTC no malfunctions. Tucker has a great cleaning PDF floating around and suggest doing a real cleaning per his PDF. Once you get all that junk oil outta the guts you should have less issues like you have said , you have been having less problems. You can use cheaper shells to break in but i just listened to the beneli Rep not the Janitor that answered the phone or was that mudhen that answered:) Operator error is 99% of problem with this shotgun and once ya figure out you are the problem and decide to pull your head out it's amazing how the problems will deminish unlike you:o worms are better than LIARS!

http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showpost.php?p=79940&postcount=50 You my friend LIE and says here in one of your first useless post ya use it! where did ya come up with the notion it takes 300 rounds to break in a Benelli? also what kinda premium ammo ya using at 1.00 a shell, i would not shoot that cheap of ammo outta one of your cheaper well oiled shotguns. Get a grip:p

6912 should fit since the Benelli page says that the SBEII & M2 uses same OEM chokes? http://www.benelliusa.com/firearms/partsAccessoriesChokes.tpl https://shop.primos.com/pc-851-78-jelly-head-choke-tube-12-ga-benelli-sbe-ii.aspx i shoot with the 6912 in my SBEII & would go with the same choke in a M2 if ya got questions just call them!
-
Spend some time at pattern board, can't spend too much time there and all will be well, just keep the remoil at wallyworld. I suspect the M2 has adjustable stock and if you are one of the 8% of the people that need no adjustments more power to ya but adjustments are easy as long as ya do not over think about them! i agree the front sights are hard to see and would advise on going with different one that is visible!! also i looked at your manual and it seems you only have drop adjustments , also use some choke tube lube and when you do not use the shotgun loosen tubes so they do not cement into threads! just make sure it is allways tight before pulling trigger but check it before ya load gun! owners manual explains what you can shoot thru OEM tubes so read carefully and enjoy! go here and see if you can pickup any info, do not join just surf a while and they use M2's and put them thru their paces!! http://www.duckcommander.com/commandPost/forums/

301-283-6981 no crystal balls here?

Big difference between opinions and worthless lip service, just sell your over rated, expensive, unreliable SBEII so someone else can put some oil on it and enjoy what you have obviously been missing. no excuse for all the worthless negative comments about the #1 Shotgun for the money, and if i can keep one from having issues it can't be rocket science to keep any SBEII spitting hulls! Cycle issues are normally cleaning issues which can be solved by just a tad bit of oil kinda like the exterior finish and once ya figure how to clean a gun maybe your comments will not be so abrasive MR. REMOIL?
-
no prob, i would think the name on it's side would go B towards front of reciever and the I to the rear of the butt plate? never used one but i am sure someone will post up soon!! not sure if cylinder make a difference on how it fits into plastic housing? but i am sure it would probably make a difference!!
-
Winchester Extended Range or Hevi-Shot in that order with a Primos Jelly Head Turkey choke would be my choice! That combo has given me my best pattern with my shotgun!
-
http://www.benelliusa.com/customer-service/pdfs/Nova.pdf kinda like CaPs LoCk BUTTON kinda hard ? to turn off!
-
http://www.benelliusa.com/customer-service/troubleshooting.tpl X2 no they do not want ya to backbore them due to Inertia System read last problem at bottom of page! Smooth bore slugs are very good at putting steak on the table and rifled slugs in a rifled barrel will give you a better pattern at a longer distance but nothing phenominal!! smooth bore slugs ar good to 100yds but not much farther! depends on your abulity and knowing your shotguns ballistics!
-
Leggia Spray? guess i am clueless on that, not surprised? http://www.benelliusa.com/customer-service/troubleshooting.tpl have ya looked at these and tried to see if anything here would solve issue? what kinda Oil/lubed do ya use? also what kinda sheels ya talking about one specific type or a combination of all? lotta shells are just not quality made and will not shoot in these shotguns? but when ya broke in your shotgun did ya do it with light loads?
-
clean gun needs quality lube, what kinda lube do ya use? has trigger group been taken down and cleaned with solvent, brushes? Is your problem an occasional FTC or repeated? for people to help, ya gotta fess up ALL the info and not only info you think someone wants to hear? could be mechanical issue and would call benelli and ask Tech not Secretary plus they do not SELL anything to CONSUMERS!! never have never will!!
-
Hands down SBEII for Goose & Turkey and do not expect to be low recoil!! It kicks like a 10Ga and if ya can't handle recoil do not get it! If ya wanta bird gun semi go with the S-SPORT. M2 probably not much different than the SBII never shot one or heard a whole lot about it, I would think if the Preacher Patterson used it AKA DC it would be a smoke pole!! He is not shooting a lotta Quail or Dove with his M2's but you could drop down in loads and it would work with either! Myself would go with O/U for birds, Browning Cynergy if i do buy! Amazing feel and shoulders nice and recoil pad and back bore tones it down on recoil! 32" barrel shoulders like a much shorter barrel? do not know why but would probably buy the 28" or 30" when it happens! what it boild down to is Quality shotgun and they are all so far ahead of the 4 and 5 hundered buck clones that people wanta pump up or try to compare!! most 3" rounds will do same thing a 3.5 round will do, as in putting supper on the table with less recoil just use different choke tube or style of ammo!
-
I have a different shotgun but my dealer told me that i needed to shoot the most powerful round ever expected to be shot with my SBEII and i ran 3 boxes of 10 ea Turkey hevi-shot 3.5 rounds and it has failed to have FTF,FTC or any other malfunction. It loves expensive shells and spits them like i spit watermelon seeds!! It also loves cheap wallyworld shells and never a malfunction with them! You would be ok probably with just some high brass rounds, just do not use bird/trap rounds! reading manual on this issue should address this issue? but i know how manuals are written and hard to understand! Big issue is using correct cleaning teqniques when ya do clean it!! overlooked and it will cause issues!! operator errors are easy to deny and done a lot!! READ manual and you should not have issues, do not read manual and you WILL have issues!! Italian shotguns are different animals but do take getting used to differences!
-
One thing a lotta people pay no attention to is the care/storage of their tubes, they will shoot like **** if ya bend them or set on them! ya gotta use a hard case to keep them in or they are subject to deformation and now they are junk! cause you were too lazy to secure them and take care to not destroy them!! expensive easy mistake!
-
Most manufacturers send the correct size mounts with their light pipes, think it's 2.6 MM they usually send an assortment so it's pretty much a one fts all application but all ya have to do when ya order is ask question! they are free!! http://www.hivizsights.com/FAQs.aspx call is free
