  1. http://shotshell.drundel.com/pelletcount.htm this could help figure out what shell ya use? I looked at the 8's at Sportmans this PM 9 bucks a box and yes that is high but i know of very little that the price has gone down on! plus is do not shoot skeet that much anymore!
  2. Only one way to figure that questions answer ! get off PC and burn some powder! I would think no problem if you broke it in correctly but Benelli states 1 1/8 Minimum for 12 ga so ya can't fault the Gun manufacturer or Ammo manufacturer. I would loose the Remington ammo myself, never did like it, my choice would be Winchester or next would be Federal. Keep it shouldered tight and you should have no problems, if ya do chunk the ammo!!
  3. leftovers from skeet range next door to trap range and shooting mid 20's is good enough for me, i do not shoot competition events only for fun on occasion and only takes one pellet to brake the clay! i will try some 8's next trip and see if i can get all of them!
  4. Italian made shotgun and Company and you do have a valid point! try www.primos.com they have great product for waterfowl tube sets!
  5. Never question POPS!! I would do full in both or better yet do a .22 if law allows! We used to wear them out with .22 in Arkansas when i was a youngster, sit under acorn tree and relax all afternoon!
  6. http://www.krugerfarms.com/prodhighlight.cfm?ItemId=AM-0077&MiniCategoryID=317&StartRow=1&Pointer=1&NumResults=6&1534-D83A_1933715A=a3227c2775e580ff916cf0a469e91a6a7fbcb82f i use these but in 7.5 shot ! shoot 20 to low 20's per round!
  7. My understanding is only the 20 guage can be shimmed, to shim a 12Ga ya basically can only change stock to do this per manual? I would change POA or buy the different stock which i have reservations on them changing the POA! Try a different front sight might change you POA depending on you and how you sight the target? ya might give Benelli a call and see what they think would be the best way to get on target? numrich shows 2 shims for M2 Field but i bet they are for the 20Ga?
  8. http://www.e-gunparts.com/products.asp?chrMasterModel=4150zM4%20SUPER%2090&MC kinda cheap, buy a couple and replace when needed!
  9. 2008 will have a code of {CC} stamped on side of reciever!

    SBE2 & Nasty Kick

This issue with recoil is not brand new and it is a tad much for 3.5 " shells but shoulder it tight to your shoulder and enjoy it! Lotta people just go with 3" shells also. If ya can't handle the 2 3/4" sell it to someone that is not recoil sensitive! You will not have a long wait to sell it and will not loose much! Good Luck
  11. get them free here: http://www.marines.com/page/usmc.jsp?pageId=/forms/processLead.do&flashRedirect=true
  12. https://shop.primos.com/c-77-waterfowl.aspx view package instructions for what types of shot this choke system work with! you did not mention what model Benelli you were looking for a choke for so take your pick, give them a call and ask Primos! Hard to find a better one but there are a couple more around but these will work! https://shop.primos.com/pc-700-77-dead-zone-waterfowl-choke-tube-12-ga-benelli-sbe-ii-2-pak-decoypass.aspx If it's a SBEII i would go with this set!
  13. I guess the 10% theory would come into play here thanks for the info, it is a safe range and could be safer. I spent lotta time on Military ranges and if you were unsafe at them the Armorer would grab his Baretta and explain to you after he got yor attention where you messed up and what will happen the second time! HIT THE DOOR!! Our trap ranges and skeet ranges are much safer than our rifle ranges! way too many people and not enough armorers, not enough eyes!! gets really busy on weekends, so i go during week days!!
  14. probably is close but i called Hornaday and they said they do not use a flight control wad? They do look close!
  15. No that is a Federal Ammo Trademark Product, they use their own in house wads which are not a flight control wad. their wads are not for resale and the 00 buck is 5% harder than regular lead!
  16. pattern the condor at 35 yds and get a benchmark on how it is shooting then adjust to distance to trap house and adjust your lead! I use full choke in my SBEII and hit 20's + a lot. I do not go much anymore because my ABQ City range will only allow 1 shotshell in gun at any time at any station for trap? gives my hands cramps!!
  17. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stoeger_Industries Good reason Benelli took credit for it! You get what you pay for when you buy a weapon BTW!
  18. 1-618-357-2911 in stock! 20.00 bucks!

    Oiling SBII

never heated anything to replace shims? never oiled spring guess i will llightly oil next cleaning, but then it will probably start having issues? replacing shims is one of the easiest task i have done on the SBEII, take off pad loosen bolt and pull all the stuff off one piece at a time and no locktite yet? i suggest reading manual because i have never heated anything to remove anything on my SBEII!

    Oiling SBII

would not think it would be coverd with junk since it should not have that much oil on it to start with! never heard of oil on springs but i guess a light film would protect it, but where it's located, it is not open to elements unless ya been swimming with it! Open it up and see if it had any lube to start with? i have never lubed mine and it did not appear to have been oiled when i moved shims last time! looked new to me and gun is 5 years old and has not missed a beat. NO ISSUES!

    Oiling SBII

tucker301 has a great cleaning product just needs some black and yellow graphics but props to him and his efforts and it is a good DIY Clean & Lube ! http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showpost.php?p=88532&postcount=5
  22. SBEII has no gas pistons! that require no lubrication!
  23. for one you should always check prior to shooting, that the tube is tight anyway and just saying i left it tight does not work for me. possible for tubes to work loose! if ya leave it loose when not in use and you know what condition it's in! LOOSE so you always tighten it prior to shooting! tubes also get very hot during use and say you were one of the many that use no choke lube or clean choke threads in barrel and only throw up and bust shells repeatedly ya gotta good chance on welded choke tube! Myself have never had this issue! Steel shot, extreme pressure and corrosion all can cause issues and if ya get into habit of keeping the area clean and lubed ya got no prob! I always check my tube prior to loading for being tight, do not have to worry about it being stuck cause i leave it loose when not in use! A Lawers friends opinion on lubes, i guess everyone knows what opinions are worth! I have no rust and have used it for a while and my opinion is it's good for my SBEII! test also talks up CLP real big which i think is over rated product! http://www.militec.com/video/militec.html How can you have a 3 in 1 product and all of them do their job? never have figured this one out! not in my lube kit!! Also talks down Hoppes products? i use several of them without issues?
  24. only problem either used wrong could mess up barrel, i would add some lubricant known as http://www.militec1.com/, i like this stuff a lot and it's not going to gum up your action! Bore snake is kinda hard to swab plastic residue from crimps but i would own both! Hoppes is good stuff just do not get anything with solvent on black synthetic stock! I guess lotta people use motor oil on guns but they have addative packages in them and i would try to find one that would not be harmful to shotguns! use a good choke tube and never leave tube torqued in barrel when not in use!! This manual was originally poste by tucker301 and props to him and uncle SAM! http://www.farrarsodfarm.com/nelli/USMC_M1014.pdf great product and easier than the Italian version unless you are stationed in Vincenza! hehe!!
