My SBEII 2003 Black synthetic will shoot just about anything ya put in it and it's a tad over kill for smaller birds but 2 3/4 inch shells shoot fine in mine as do the 3 1/2's for waterfowl! It works in about all situations for me but hate it on the skeet range! shoots fine, but they only allow 1 shell in gun on city range for trap and only 2 for passing doubles on the skeet side! i guess if i did not have carpel tunnel i would not be complaining!

Maybe they put it in a gun sock WET prior to putting it in that plastic container and will be showing us a rusted hunting gun in March:p

What lubrication products were used, not too sure about break in on an ARGO shotgun? Really do not think it needs one? http://www.militec.com/firearms/manual1.html Pg 68 has some troubleshooting techniques and pg 29 Remedial Action pg 56-60 talks about cleaning and lubrication! You can also still see the front sights if need be!

Best Shotgun i have owned! Had mine since 2003 and not 1 malfunction, but i did take some time to familiarize myself with break-inn procedures, operational procedures and Maintenance prior to firing first round. I also patterned numerous loads and chokes prior to going hunting! Dealer said use 3 boxes of the heaviest loads i ever planned to use in it prior to shooting light loads! They were told by Benelli Rep this was very important for proper operation after break-inn!

I believe MontePro answered your choke questions and yes the oval choke wrench that came with your gun is what Benelli wants you to use to tighten your BUL tubes! Myself i always keep mine loose until i get ready to load and after the hunt i always loosen mine a tad just to make sure i do not end up with a stuck tube! I always put it in clean and lubed (Lightley), with choke tube lube Hopppe's Spray! Hope this helped with putting out the flame!

Saw a show the other day , guy was shooting an ultralight and he was raisin sin with it! Me if i wanted a wooden stock i would go with SBEII in a 12 Ga! not much difference in price! But a lot more gun! i have NEVER had a malfunction and i will admit it took me a few minutes to figure out i needed to RTFM! Italian Shotgus are no where near like any other American Shotguns! Reading the manual took care of all my needs since Uncle Sam got me to 6th grade reading level i have been GTG!
