  1. What are the limits on Quakers, any good recipes? Are they greasy?
  2. You talking about this post? I bought 2 flashlights that were involved in the email only sale. I just wished I would have bought more. They were listed as $18 and some change each. They are excellent lights for what they are. They have a glass lens, a switch (no twist on or off), came with batteries, rubberized camo coating, double o-rings, and a more even light distribution than the Surefire. I tested both bulbs against each other and the Cabela's won with a brighter light and better, more even distribution. Here are some pictures: Double O-rings Bulb Comparison:
  3. I am using the Lightning Steel data, all 2 3/4" loads up to 1675 and no fillers. Primer, Powder, Wad, shot, crimp......... Loaded #7's for swatter loads, #6's for Dove, #5's for Teal over Decoys and #4's for the non committal Teal and Puddle Ducks. I have tried them all in the LS manual and settled on a 1 oz load at 1570 +/- a few fps The faster loads are hard to get to pattern, the slower loads are real easy to find a choke combo for, so I stick with them. The fast loads require dedication, it isn't something you can just load and shoot, it takes alot of time on the pattern board to find the perfect choke combo, and when you change lot numbers on powder, you basically start all over again. I have loaded Alliant Steel lot 11, lot 12, and lot 14 and each one changed my patterns, so if you plan to go the fast route be prepared to spend time at the board. I am not saying the LS manual is fool proof, I am saying the slower loads are easier to make work, and the fast loads require a higher level of dedication. So take that into consideration.
  4. It will last a long time if you take care of the light, and use the appropriate heat sink, when you order the led, they will give you several choices, I used the smallest one and the light lasted several months, I went with a same led mounted to a larger heat sink and the light has been flawless. But on a side note, you can buy a better light on eBay for the same money as making it, and it will come sealed with o-rings in an aluminum housing.

  6. The post from jondifra you replied is spam, I was just hassling you.
  7. I would suspect your maintenance or lack there of as the culprit behind your problem, not Benelli's lack of proper application/or as you put it poor application/cost cutting. I have a first year SBE II, 7 of the 8 people on our lease have Benelli's, and we have no issues. I have 2 camo models, the rest are black synthetic (11 total), just added another M2, and a new in the box M1, and I see no difference in any of them that would lead me to believe that Benelli has changed the coating process. You can bash Benelli all you want, but if it really bothered you as much as you claim, you wouldn't be here everyday posting. Let's do the math: 54,049 post on this site, minus your 34... 54,049 - 34 = 54,015 Now let's take another 10% off of that........... 54,015 - 5401.5 = 48613.5 total posts My point is even if 10% of the posts bashed Benelli, there is still an over whelming majority who love them, and I for one, love each and everyone of mine.
  8. Why are you replying to spam?
  9. I too have hunted in freezing pouring rain and yet to have rust on any of mine. I bought a DU edition Nova from WhrzTheDux and have hunted crows in the drizzling rain with it and haven't had any rust issues with it. As far as the cycling issues go, I hunted with a guy who had a new M2, his gun would jam on every 3rd or 4th shell. He said it had been doing it since new, and was ready to return it. I asked him if I could keep it for a week and check it out, he agreed. I took it home and shot it and it jammed on me. I cleaned it thoroughly, including the action spring, which was filthy. I ran 2 boxes of my 3" 1 5/8oz Longshot coyote loads thru it, cleaned it and he has yet to have another issue with it. I don't see many people mention putting a little grease on the locking lugs, something I have done to both rifles and shotguns for close to 20 yrs. I use Shooters Choice synthetic now, can't remember what I started with. I don't know how well it would work up north, but here we see temps in the 30's a lot, and some 20's and a few teens. I have hunted down to 17 degrees using the Shooters Choice with no problems.
  10. I am not comparing the guns, I own several of each, 6 Nova's both 12 and 20, 3 SBE II's, 4 M2's, both 12 and 20 ga, I was asking a question about the SBE II's fit and using the Nova as a reference
  11. 190 + views and not one response Thanks
  12. There are several listed on eBay, which length do you have now, some one might trade with you.
  13. He also said his shot 3 1/2" but this gun only shot 3"
  14. It has been discontinued, great load when you can find it, next year may see a new importer, who knows?
  15. I would like to wager that the bolt handle is getting caught on shirt sleeve, jacket sleeve, or back of either one. I have the M2 20 ga and it never has done this with me. The spring does seem to be a little weak in the M2 20 ga's, my bolt was hitting the back of the receiver hard, I replaced it with a Sure Cycle and problem was solved
  16. I tried the #3's in a 20 and a 12 last year and the loads were phenomenal, and were easy to pattern. I just have trouble finding them. I tried some 3" Winchester #3's this year, stunk to high heaven, I think I could have threw the shot by hand and had a better pattern
  17. Well he seems to be in Turkey, lead is quite possibly their only choice, but I still don't believe 150-190 meters:eek:
  18. 150 meter = 164.041994751 yards 190 meter = 207.786526684 yards Am I reading this right?
  19. I have tried several times to pattern this gun with the Wingmaster HD in #6's and #4's and it patterns way too tight with the factory IC and too open with the CYL. Who has tried after market chokes for these guns, and from which manufacturer? I have a couple of sets of the Trulock's for the SBE II and M2 12 ga's, and really like them. But before I drop $300 for a set of chokes, I would like some comments on other choices. Thanks fellas!!
  20. I have never used one on a shotgun, but I have one on a H&R Ultra Hunter in 450 Marlin for hog hunting and it is the cats meow! I love it, easy to get a site picture and fast handling when the action gets hot. Burris used to make a 2 x 50 mm long ago and I searched high and low for one before settling on the Speed Dot. It handles the recoil and has never lost it's zero, even when shooting 500 gr Barnes solid hand loads.
