Winchester PowerPoints work well for me. I haven't done much with slugs in my m4 though, so I can't say really how they compare up to other slugs ... I just know that I hit what I am shooting at. As far as chokes go, the old wisdom is not to go any tighter than IC, but I have heard from multiple people that this is an old myth from days when threading and barrels were different. They say that today it doesn't matter what choke you use for slugs ... that you can use slugs through a full choke without fear of ripping the threads off and blowing the choke out the end.

Eotechs are awesome ... But I too am strongly looking into LaRue's irondot. He addressed my two main concerns about the stock pride fowler ... he added a shell and a throw lever.

That's only in the "AR Discussions" forum, where every troll hangs out. Post in any of the technical forums, or in the team forums, and you have lots and lots of awesome information. The General Discussion is completely unreliable ... but any of the specific forums (rifle upper/lower/barrels, build it yourself, shotgun, ammunition) have awesome people and excellent information. The Team forum especially is an awesome resource, as it's a group of people who actually care enough about the place to donate annually. You should take another look. http://www.benelliusa.com/forums/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/3129.html#000000 Merry Xmas. From that ... the M4 is made up of 11 imported parts. This part count does not make it illegal, it just means that you cannot have certain features (more than 5 round tube, collapsible stock). When you add a US made full length tube, you have dropped the imported part count to 10, which makes the above laws irrelevant. That being said, the probability of the ATF busting you for a modified benelli is very, very unlikely. Be advised some states, like the wonderful one I live in, have their own obnoxious gun laws which ban items that are not banned federally. [ 10-09-2006, 08:39 PM: Message edited by: Duggan ]

I never said they wouldn't function. He asked for complaints common to sure cycles ... I offered up the one complaint I had heard. That's why the question mark is there.

The idiot taping me cut out halfway through my tube dump. I didn't know until I got home and looked at it ... I finally got someone to tape me, and then mess it up. Harrr. But you see 5 shots at least. *Video is divx. If you can't play it, thats why. Get divx! [ 10-08-2006, 06:22 AM: Message edited by: Duggan ]

The m4 in its stock setup fits 5+1+1.
-
Hmm. If it doesn't make any mention of unloading rounds in the manual, then I guess you have to cycle them.

Go gas piston.

They are ugly looking?
-
http://sidearmor.com/images/shotgun/m401/gallery.html Should explain it all.

the stock spring is made for a full length tube ... it is "too long" if you will for a 5 shot tube. They are a good company, lots of people on here have used them, Harlan posts on here, and it's the closest you'll get to a factory looking extension.

Turn your gun upside down. Push hard on the left side of the receiver by the lifter. It will move.

http://www.nodakspud.com/ Get their new steel parkerized finish extension.

Oh, I wondered why you said 2 picatinny rails instead of 4. I guess my other thread was made just for you then. http://www.benelliusa.com/forums/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/3591.html

http://www.dsarms.com/item-detail.cfm?ID=BT21454&storeid=1&image=btremmnt.gif I had never seen them before. Pricey, but another option to the sidearmour rail. Just the right size to clamp on a scoutlight or something. [ 10-04-2006, 02:59 PM: Message edited by: Duggan ]

http://www.dsarms.com/item-detail.cfm?ID=BT21353&storeid=1&image=btbenhg.gif Search on here, you'll find quite a bit of info. I've never used one, so I can't say personally. Some people love them and have never had any problems, others say the mounting sucks, it doesn't protect from gasses, and its heavy and awkward.

There is only one way to "unload" a firearm ... pull the trigger. But seriously, when I have to, I use an extra foam earplug as a medium between my thumb and the release. Easy as can be.

I'm looking to get a used m1 for a trunk gun ... but right now I only have this terrible m4. It's tough. Post some MRP pics, I've seen them on arfcom.

Around here we use cell phones But awhile back I did buy a set of cheap talkabouts, they worked well for about a mile. Oh, and Nextel sucks terribly (In NY at least). It is impossible to reach anyone that has nextel. It just rings and rings, and their phone doesn't even ring at all ... with full service! wtf. It takes like 20 seconds to even connect, and then you get the "please hold while the nextel customer you are trying to reach is located" ... then usually right to voicemail. I won't even call anyone that has nextel, I just get too annoyed. breathe.
