Oh. That's stupid. I almost feel like defending my e-honor and saying "how the he11 was I supposed to know that?" Why wouldn't they just use the same screw on method as the pistol grip? It would appear to be a far superior method. NOW I MUST GO STUDY EVERY BENELLI DIAGRAM IN ORDER THAT I MAY NEVER MISSPEAK AND LET DOWN TUCKER/SATURN AGAIN! wtf? How am I wrong in anything I said ... Or are the standard stocks really helf on by some pin setup? They really don't thread on? WTF? Or are you guys just pretending to disagree with me ... I'm tired and not thinking clearl.y I don't have a standard stock or else I would regulate with pics and insults. [ 09-17-2006, 12:28 AM: Message edited by: Duggan ]

That little red lever is the shell release thing. Just cycling rounds with your hand on the bolt will not hit the shell release. This is a good feature, as it allows you to pull back the bolt and swap out what shell you are using without having to worry about shells feeding from the mag tube. When actually shooting, you don't have to do anythign with the shell release. When you fire, the bolt goes back, the shell release is hit, a shell goes onto the lifter, the bolt comes forward, the shell is lfited, the shell is chambered. All that button does is release a shell from inside the mag tube onto the lifter. If you experiment, you'll see that the bolt release and the shell release buttons set each other off. AKA, when you push one in, the other one pops out. As far as actual shooting procedure, I start with the bolt open, throw a shell in, hit the bolt release, load up the tube. I try to reload the tube while I still have a shell in the chamber ... tactical reload if you will.

... Stocks thread on. I don't see how it could possibly fall off. It would have to turn clockwise a good 8 turns or so to come off ... Unles it somehow ripped all the threading off. I don't know what pin you are talking about. Pics are worth 1000 words. And contact benelli CS. Never heard of this ...

Snap ring pliers. You have to remove the snap ring, take the ring off, rotate it, put it back on. I didn't bother to buy them, so I destroyed my fingers and ripped it off with brute force. Not reccomended.

Wow, mine came off real easy. Like 30 seconds of a heat gun, a big guy holding the tube steady, and me twisting the receiver. 4 kilos isn't enough ... go with 10.

Two words: Heat gun.

From yet another forum I visit ... "There is a BIG difference between Red and Green Loctite! Red Loctite is in fact only intended as a THREAD sealant. Red Loctite created microscopic crystals between the bolt and thread. These crystals prevent the free rotation of the bolt in the thread. The Red Loctite has a much higher viscosity than the green, causing a much higher incidence of "wiping" during assembly. Green Loctite is often refered to as "Penetrating Loctite". Since this has a MUCH lower viscosity than the red variety, adhesive "wiping" is not an issue. In the real world, Green Loctite is used on items that have already been assembled. The crystals formed by the Green Loctite are much smaller is size, and are created in a more dense pattern. This causes a "tighter" bond between the surfaces. Both varieties of Loctite are permament, but the Green version provides a tighter bond (due to the smaller crystals), and requires more heat to disrupt the bond. Additionally, because the crystals are smaller, the bond is able to absorb shocks better than the bond created with the Red variety. " If you really wanted to attach it, you should use green. I beleive that is what benelli uses. Also, just shooting will generate enough heat to render blue loctite useless. I used to use a YHM rail on one of my ARs, and I loctited it onto the barrel nut ... I figured blue would hold fine. Well, it was a hot summer day, and after shooting a little bit, the **** thing broke free. Granted ARs generate a lot more heat than benellis, but I think a lesson can be learned here. [ 09-16-2006, 12:02 AM: Message edited by: Duggan ]

Ya, I know. Thats why I don't get what surefire was on about.

Yes, he has been here way too long

spectre or blackhawk.

It's plenty snug. It has come loose once, but only when I was taking down the gun anyways. As in, I was holding the barrel and unscrewing the endcap, and as I was taking the barrel off I unscrewed the tube. Hardly matters. It have never unscrewed while shooting ... it would have no reason to. The design is such that it has no motivation to turn, as the endcap prevents this. I bet benelli just put loctite on there to prevent most people from tampering with it. There is no reason it HAS to be loctited down. If m1014 and myself both do no use loctite and have had fine results ... that may say something. Or maybe we are just crazy. [ 09-14-2006, 10:46 PM: Message edited by: Duggan ]

Because even in Florida you cannot own something that does not exist??
-
I don't use any loctite. But blue should be fine.

What, so I'm jealous of that sick mag extension barrel, ok?
-
It happens all the time. To just about everyone. Benelli always sends out chokes. If I cared to have anything other than a full choke, I'd call in.

After the initial 50 shells or so (break in), my m4 has never jammed. It has gotta have 2250-2500 rounds through it by now. It's bulletproof. Sorry for the sarcasm.

It's just airsoft officer ...
-
My m4 jams every single shot. I like to think of it as a bolt action.

There are only a handful of larue dealers. Your best bet for a flashlight mount is to order direct, I highly doubt any of the dealers will have them in stock. As far as the m3 not being able to stand up to the recoil of a shotgun, I beleive that is a load of goat. Plenty of people have done it with perfectly fine results ... I know the m3 head is a shockresistant head (I have one right next to me), and I was under the impression the weaponlight only had a different body and tail switch. Your best bet: Email one of the best flashlight dealers on the net - [email protected] He will know. His name is Calvin. Oh, and surely you do not plan on mounting a flashlight on top of the receiver? That is the only rail I see on the benelli page ...

I just watched it for the second time ever. This has got to be in my top 5 favorite movies. So enjoyable. Get a 12 pack of ice berr in you, like I have right now, and enjoy. It is so damm hard to type, I am erasing all types of stuff, I drink like once a month, wtf. http://www.amazon.com/Life-Aquatic-Steve-Zissou-Collection/dp/B00005JNLQ/sr=8-2/qid=1157792515/ref=pd_bbs_2/103-4258790-0503040?ie=UTF8&s=dvd Such dry humor, and amazing sounds and visuals. Watch it! and this thread will likely get no replies [ 09-09-2006, 04:16 AM: Message edited by: Duggan ]
