    EOTECH mounts

There ... don't mind the shiny metal on the bottom, that was done with a dremel for other reasons ... your mount will be all pure black. I made a demo video of this mount, if anyone is interested ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3UF6vor670 Enjoy.

    EOTECH mounts

larue mounts are much better designed and executed than ARMS mounts. Here, I'll take a picture of the larue mount for you ...

  4. Well, sportsmans guide has them in stock, MAYBE, but I do not like them as a brand. Any other major, reliable vendor have a good quantity in stock?
  5. http://east.outdoormarksman.com/product_info.php?cPath=65_3_58_923&products_id=34552 There are only 2 boxes in stock there. Anyplace have them in stock?
  6. Have you done any tests with your M4 to determine what the best rifled slug is?

    EOTECH mounts

Glad you agree. The eotech + lt110 mount is a solid package. [ 08-12-2006, 12:13 AM: Message edited by: Duggan ]
  8. I will buy them with you.
  9. You can use whatever choke you want for buckshot. I suggest full. The general consensus is that slugs should not be shot through anything tigher than a modified choke. However, some places/people will say that only cyl bore should be used, while others swear that you can put slugs through full chokes and be just fine, and that the "slugs can't go through chokes" idea is a rumor from years past. I don't shoot many slugs, but if I did, I'd use a modified.
  10. I buy stripped lower receivers from gun stores, due to the requirements of a stupid and pointless regulatory agency. Everything else I buy online and assemble myself. I bought my M4 from a friend. The GG&G stuff I got from SKD tactical, OpticsHQ has the best deals on eotechs I have seen, surecycle.com or nodakspuk for the extension tubes, slings from SKD or blackhawk, I got my collapsible stock from ebay ... As far as AR's go, I have 2 of them, and I could build 30 more and still not feel I had enough. If you want ideas, go to ar15.com and go through the countless picture threads. When you find something you really like, ask what it is if it doesnt already say, and then go about building your own. You'll learn so much more about your rifle and appreciate it a whole lot more if you build it yourself. There have been a few times where I almost backed out and had a "professional" do it (free floating handguard, JP custom trigger install), but each time I decided to do it myself and Im much happier with the result. Worst comes to worst, you ruin a part, and buy another.
  11. I find eotechs to be much better on shotguns. The circle dot is much faster than the dot on the aimpoint ... plus it's a shotgun, so you want a big reticle, not a small precise one. You absolutely need a mag extension. Get the GG&G larger bolt handle AND the bolt release. Both are fantastic. I like the tangodown vertical grip the most, as do many people, plus you can store stuff in there. I'd wait for the FCAM rail system that is going to be released any year now ... Lots of negative responses to the BT rail to supplement the 3 or so good comments I have seen. Get the surefire 962 ... for 40 bucks more, you get 3x the runtime at the same output, or nearly double the output for same runtime. A no brainer. Get a good sling. I have a blackhawk, many people prefer a spectre. Mesatactical makes single point mounts too if that is your style. [ 08-09-2006, 03:06 PM: Message edited by: Duggan ]

    Bayonets

****. I knew shotguns are meant for CQB, but you really plan on getting close enough to stab someone? I pity the foo.
  13. I have a surefire scout light. It is a good close range light, but it is useless for ranges longer than 15 yards. The beam is too wide. the 65 lumen LED looks as bright as a 120 lumen incandescent ... so it still blinds well.
  14. It feels the same, if not lighter. I have 250 or so rounds with it without a single failure.
  15. It's a forgivable sin to hijack your own thread. And unfortunately, I don't beleive any more are being made at this time. If sufficient interest arises, then maybe that may change, but chances are slim at this time. I didn't set up or negotiate the original deal, I was just onboard with it from early on.
  16. You need a barrel clamp system. ebay+brownells+midway.
  17. I just use breakfree for everything. Mainly due to lack of time. But it has never failed me ... I smear breakfree all over any new gun I get, and let it sit for a day or two, then rub off the excess. Every once in awhile I wet down the exterior finish with breakfree, just to keep some on there. I used to use Hoppes #9 on the barrel, but it really isnt needed for what I do. My barrel looks the same after 2000 rounds as it did when I first got it. Nice and shiny and smooth inside, no fouling or knick spots or rub marks or anything. I'd say the most important thing is to make sure the outside of your bolt and the inside of your bolt carrier group is clean. I've had numerous guns jam due to carbon buildup and lack of lubrication ... but never my m4. I breakfree down everything but the gas pistons, and then rub off the excress. Dry metal just doesnt do it for me.
  18. Rough.
  19. ^^what he said.
  20. LOL, I weight more than you? That's awesome. You look like 6'4 ... I'm 6 foot flat.
  21. Aha, I have that exact same shirt in a medium as well. I am like 190 lbs though. You must be closing in on 240+.

    Double B

You totally should have gotten an 870, aka the best shotgun ever created. /gag
  23. http://cgi.ebay.com/MEPROLIGHT-NIGHT-SIGHT-BENELLI-SHOTGUN-SET_W0QQitemZ7242753347QQihZ015QQcategoryZ36258QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Is the best I see right now ...
  24. Oh, sweet. Hope you like the GGG release, I know I do. Hmmm... Now to find a deal on some mepro's
  25. Who makes the best ones? Meprolight seems to offer some ... http://www.centuriontactical.com/night-sights.htm Anyone used these? There better stuff out? The "factory" ones any good? http://www.calssportingarmory.com/BenelliAccessories.htm My eotechs are being used on other projects, so I am using irons, which got me craving tritium. Any ideas?
