  1. Thanks for the kind words. We aim to please. Just a note.. SOCOMguy is packing up for a week of Upper Michigan deer camp on the sunny shores of Lake Superior so I will not be getting to my e-mails for a couple of weeks. All have a good Thanksgiving... Joe B
  2. lexusf, I've been selling FL US made tubes for over 5 years now with 100% satisfied customers. If you were to pay by Pay Pal tonight yours will be in the mail tomorrow morning. I won't go into all the specs here, suggest searching this board for past SOCOMguy threads or e-mail me at [email protected] Joe B
  3. Thank you "d" , appreciate the good words. I do my best to make a quality product.... may have been the first to make the M4 FL tubes, been at it about 5 years now. And yes doing a true square form thread took a bit of development work. Joe B
  4. I was just about to pipe in ... All my FL tubes are marked with "U S" and a batch number stamped on the collar at the receiver end. Also I never did straight parkerizing, all the tubes have been "gun kote" "diamond- kote" polymer finish most matte black color. And yes, a square cut thread. I still have tubes, and receintly reduced the price to $145 including shipping. Joe B [email protected]
  5. Ya' what Sukhoi_fan said... except left out the SOCOMguy full length mag tubes. I've been making and selling these tubes for five years now with 100% customer satisfaction. U.S. made in my shop from 4130 chrome -moly aircraft grade steel, "Diamond-Koted" matte black polymer finish to match all the other black on your M4. I have tubes in stock now ready to ship at a new REDUCED PRICE of $145 includes shipping. Check out the hundreds of SOCOMguy posts on this site. Contact me at [email protected] Joe
  6. Bello... I can't argue about the cost. As for the military... the actual SOCOMguy is now on active duty at Ft Leonard Wood, MO and the father (me) is holding down the machine shop... U.S.N. 1969 - 1973 Ltjg. USS Graham County LST 1176, Little Creek VA. If memory serves, we did a Med cruise with the Austin back in the day. God bless all of our servicemen and women ( the vets too!) Joe
  7. Hello all, I see a lot of interest in titanium mag tubes of late. I must say the Ti is pretty neat stuff.. every one would like to have a ti this or that to show off (hopefully not replacement hip joint). As for a seven round tube, I did some calculations as to weight difference. A steel tube like the ones I'm offering weigh 8.5 oz, a comprable ti tube 4.9 oz., quite a diff... well maybe not. What' s a tube for? With seven rounds of OO buck we have 21.0 oz vs 17.4 oz. that makes the Ti set-up all of 17 % lighter, wow! As always, I have tubes ready to ship, same price as for the past 5 years $165. Check out the old SOCOMguy threads here. I also do custom length tubes and special colors. I receintly made a 6 round, two piece tube for a standard M4 for a fellow in New Jersey, apparently state regs in the "Peoples RepubliK on NJ" required it. Joe ... [email protected]

    Top Shot

yep' saw the promo and too bad they went with the factory 5 round tube. Too late, or I would have sent them one of my full length tubes. And yes, I currently have a couple ready to ship before I make up a new batch. Same price as always $165, shipped... 100% satisified customers for nearly 5 years now. [email protected] Joe B
  9. Before you cut down the longer spring have to tried functioning 7 rounds with the original spring? I sell many 7 round mag tubes and have had good fedback that they function fine with the original spring... load is a lot easier too! By the way, I now have full length tubes ready to ship, same price as over the last 5 years, $165 shipping included. Contact me at [email protected] Check out the many many SOCOMguy posts on this forum. Joe B
  10. Hello all, thought I'd bump this thread to let you know that I'm still here and have full length mag tubes ready to ship. Also share some news.. had a request to make a custom SIX ROUND tube for the M4. The fellow in New Jersey says that that is all the capacity allowed?... whatever. So I made a custom TWO Piece tube that looks like the factory 5 round and dummy extension except the tube is one round longer and the extension is shortened a corresponding amount. Kinda cool! and I quess that the two pieces marked "U.S." would count for two domestic made parts... right? Take care, good shooting, Joe
  11. I understand that Benelli only offers one spring... even if you buy the factory full 7 round extention, this is true,Yes? I've been making and selling 7 round mag tubes here for 5 years and when asked about springs always say that the factory spring and follower work fine... have never had a report to the contrary. PS, .... I have tubes in stock ready to ship, same price as always $165 ... reach me at [email protected]
  12. I lot of folks think that these guys are nuts for making that prediction, but when you think about it, they are right in the sense that tomorrow will be the end of the world for some folks. We all will meet our maker... "don't know the day or the hour" Make the most of every day (-: Joe B
  13. Read the thread posted just yesterday, "Mag tube removal" ... good discussion on removal of the factory mag tube. A little heat and rubber gloves or rubber gripper are all that's required Joe
  14. No I do not include a longer spring. If you are not aware, these are available from several sources for about $10. I have had several folks say that they have had good results just using the original spring. You might want to try that first. Joe B
  15. Hi guys, I have a new batch of full length mag tubes ready to ship, Same price $165 as always, including shipping. I've been making and selling these tubes for nearly 5 years now. Check the old threads here... http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16367&highlight=socomguy&page=19. There are now several others selling versions of these mag tubes, some pretty hi-tec material, a little lighter (152 grams vs 240 grams...WOW !). 25. I have considered it. However, making of a full length tube for the M1/M2 guns would most likely result in a high price to the consumer. The design is a lot different than that of the M4. As such, they would definitely run more than the tubes for the M4, maybe around $250+. With the lower cost of the M1/M2 gun itself (approx$850-$1100) and all of the $100 or less aftermarket extensions available by other companies, it would be a tough market to sell a tube, albeit a one-piece, that runs 25% to 30% of the cost of the gun. You are right though, there is some interest, but not enough interest unfortunately. I will give this some serious thought though. I'll run some plans and drawings and see if there is a way to make these M1/M2 tubes correctly and cost effective.
