I have shot a few boxes of them over the years and really don't like them. I have never really shot well with them. I shoot best with fast steel or federal premiums...

I agree with the DR-85. That is a cheap call that sounds really good. I personally like the echo trash talker a little better though. I think I bought mine for under $20. I don't use it anymore because my "go to" call now is a RNT cocoabolo short barrel, but I always have the echo on the lanyard....

I tried a box of them over the weekend since they are one of the few waterfowl loads I haven't tried yet. I have to admit, for only $10 a box for 3" 2 shot, I was extremely impressed. Anyone else have any reviews on them???

Do what you want with it. If you don't think that you'll use it, then get rid of it. I keep a nova as a spare, and once in a while I shoot it...

Ive got a Nova pump which is fairly new, has about 100 rounds through it, and no problems. I have a SBE that I've had about 2 years and it has been great. From todays hunt in 14 degree weather to blowing, freezing rain, this gun has been PERFECT. The camo is chipping off in places but to me they are battle wounds. It's been dunked under water and dropped in the snow completely submerged. It goes bang everytime I pull the trigger.

I have a Nova which I rarely if ever use. My "main" gun is a SBE in max4 with a patternmaster. I like to shoot either Fast Steel or Fedaral Premium #2;3". I shoot tungston matrix and hevishot at geese once in a while too.

Thanks Tucker for posting them. THere are 2 pics that are of the same hunt (the ones with the geese). I am having that wigeon mounted. He's by far the pretties wigeon I've shot.

Man, that is terrible. It is great to hear that you are okay though. Your right, it can happen to anyone.....Too bad you had to learn the hard way though.

I might be wrong here, but I would go with whatever choke you are most likely going to be using while in the field, that way you have a feel for it. I shoot my SBE often at trap, and I use a patternmaster. When I first got the PM, I used to miss a lot and get very frusterated. I shoot pretty good now.....

I was just curious to what kind of call everyone likes to blow. I favor a Foiles SMH for geese and an Echo Timber XLT for ducks.......

I think Mudhen pretty much summed it up. I have a SBE, but have hunted with an Extrema II. All in all, I wouldn't trade my 2 year old chipped up max4 SBE for the Extrema. Both good guns, just the SBE fits me better.

I too am hoping to get a Drake Canvasback. I wanted a drake woody for so long, and finally got one, and now I seem to shoot them fairly often....

I have never used the primos chokes, but I have used the Patternmast choke, and I love it. Not the best for deocying birds, as I have wrecked a few birds that were not worth harvesting.
