  1. Forums are cool because so many people from different places can compare notes. The variety is amazing!
  2. I own one and I LOVE it.Mine is camo and I use have two stocks for it,standard and steady grip.$600-650 sounds more than fair. The lower you can get him down, the more $$$ you'll have to put into goodies like a synthetic stock or M2 cryo barrel! If you so wish.
  3. I just want to get a feel for the hunters in this forum.
  4. I've taken mine on turkey hunts from FL to PA and back, and the finish looks as good as it did when i took it out of the box.We all know how gentle airline baggage handlers are(lol) It has the Advantage Timber finish on it.
  5. Look into a Kick-eez slip on pad. They are inexpensive compared to most for the amount of comfort you get.Check Brownells.I love mine on my thumbhole 870
  6. I use the bake on finish from Brownells.I put it on my Rem 7600 last year and put that gun through **** and that stuff just wouldn't quit! The price is very affordable for the return you get out of it.The gun is on my myspace in my mixed hunting photos. The pic labled Maine Bruiser. If you're looking to make a dollar off your gun, forget it.If you're looking to make it almost indestructable,go for it!
  7. If it is a regular Nova, the comfortech pad won't fit. There are no screws to attach it.It will fit a Supernova with the Comfortech stock.
  8. Back to the original question, were you questioning a new or used sbe2? I was referring to a new one.
  9. Hit the local Benelli dealers up in your area and look for a Benelli M1 super90.It is the model that was the hot ticket before the M2.It is EVERY bit as good as the newer guns except that it doesn't have the Cryo bbl/chokes or Comfortech stock, which can be retrofitted at a later date, budget permitting. Many dealers still have M1's new unfired in the box, trying to get rid of them to make room for new inventory. The deals you can get are unreal! Google it,and see if its for you!
  10. What about a Comfortech stock, or Cryo bbl ?
  11. Get a Supernova and spend the M2 savings on some killer gear, like a new pickup truck!lol
  12. One thing for sure, when turkey season rolls around, slug barrels will be stacked to the ceiling in every place you look.A day late and a dollar short! take care, good luck.
  13. Just remember what we talked about earlier, someone trying to squeeze $400 out of you is on crack. You could buy another budget gun for that price! When I go to pick up the guns for testing,I'll talk to the "The man with the plan" as far as Benelli in Fl.He'll clear this up.Time is ticking though on deer season, better have a backup plan, just in case.
  14. It depends on how light or thick the rust is. any photos? if it is light, some fine steel wool applied LIGHTLY to the rust ONLY should do the trick, add some Sheath rust preventitive to the rust and the stuff comes right off.If you are not comfortable with this,Please ask a gunsmith for their opinion. later,
  15. There are factory ones in matte black msrp$210 on page 23 of the '07 catalog. they are more in Adv. Timber. Did you call the stores?
  16. Always Camo, as long as it's factory applied, and not "homemade" take care Chad
  17. Make sure you check out Truglo's line of dot optics, now available in Realtree APG.I am on their Prostaff, and I wouldn't be able to sleep if I didn't throw them into the ring!lol
  18. Try the Tightwad choke as well if you are trying to stay Primos, I used a Supernova and Hevi13 #6 to shoot 3 consecutive H.S Strut turkey head targets with 16 19 and 24 pellets in the spine and skull alone at 60yds. Not bad for a $20 choketube.Imagine what the 30 and 40yd targets looked like!Indian Creek is sending me some tubes to test with Benelli/Stoegers next month, swing by my myspace then and hit me up,I'll have the good (or bad) word then! Take care, guys Chad
  19. I have two places for you to call. The first one is a really great gun shop that is a star Benelli dealer, and the owner is a real good guy and friend of mine.It is where I buy all my Benelli gear. Its called Pat's pawn and Gun in Leesburg,Fl(352-787-1131)They will do out of their way to get you what you want. The owner's name is Darrin Steele, ask to speak to him and tell him that Chad Hodge referred you. The second place is Nordic sports shop in Wildwood, this is where they had the bbl.If you call and they don't have EXACTLY what you want, contact Pat's for the order. I have pics of me shooting my supernova today on my myspace. check it out, that is the best way to contact me with any other ?'s myspace.com/quakerboyprostaff hope I helped, take care almost forgot Nordics# (352)7482210
  20. The sporting goods store in my town has a camo Sup/Nov bbl with rifle sights.it is $249.99,a lot, but it is Factory gear, and that is almost always the way to go until you are sure of what you want. Any Benelli dealer in your area is required to carry a certain amount of inventory on Ben/Stoeger accessories,so stop by and ask.The resale value is higher with matching items too!
