  1. So does anyone know if the SBS coming straight from Benelli (11724) have the shiny end, and if the barrel is stamped "18" Thank you.
  2. Then beretta really is cutting down 18" barrels, so the 14's will still be stamped 18 on the side of the barrel and the end will be really shinny metal. Does any one know how hard it is to have the tip of your barrel Parkerized so you don't end up signaling aircraft? And lastly, are theses considered "factory" barrels? Meaning all shortened barrels will have the shinny ring on the front end? thanks against for you help
  3. If you are wanting to look at this guys list here it is: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=322938762
  4. Does anybody have more info on Revolation13, a guy on GunBroker selling "Genuine Benelli M4 entry 14" factory cut barrel ( Machine work done thru Beretta USA)" What's the story here? are these legit? or 18"er's cut down? or are all 14"er's just cut down 18's? If they are all cut downs, what about parkerizing the end? Thanks for any info.

  6. If someone is complaining about gas discharge, then plain and simple, they do not own one, nor have they ever fired one. The Mesa carrier, and the rail would be a lot better if they had the solid block across the top. Brugger & Thomet did it to match the factory rail, Benelli and Mesa have no excuse. Specs are avalible at Surefire for the M900A, with the turbo head (KT4-HA) option. All I can say is that it is bright.
  7. yes, brugger & thomet rail, Surefire vertical foregrip M900A, Mesa Shell carrier, Spector Sling, Pelican 1720 Case (foam self cut).
  8. Like Duggan, I too would buy one if the rails were 1913 spec. Looks fantastic.
  9. I have one and I got it from DSA, but it was in stock when I ordered it. their are pictures on the B&T Quadrail post. It works great, this rail was in fact used by hundreds of Marines.

  12. I have been shooting these three loads, all bought at Walmart for about $20/case. Remington 2-3/4, 1oz, 6shot Federal 2-3/4, 1-1/8oz, 7shot Winchester 2-3/4, 1-1/8oz, 7-1/2shot All cycle near flawless in my 11707. I have been shooting these for the past 3 years, literally thousands of rounds. I say near flawless because I have noticed if I get lazy and hold the gun loosely it will sometimes (very rarely) fail to eject. Not all 2-3/4 rounds are the same, but it is worth noting that 7 of these will fit in the extended mag tube.
  13. Mesa Tactical does make an 8 Shell. I have one and it works great. Do a keyword search with: Mesa Tactical or Sidesaddle. There is some discussion and pictures.
  14. I have the Mesa Tactical 8 and love it. In my opinion there is nothing better. They're not that expensive either. You can get them brand new on eBay.

  16. I think part of the problem is that unlike Brugger & Thomet, rails are not Surefires specialty. Luckily for those who do decide to buy the M80 they can fix it with a little tape (maybe). And kudos for them for taking a chance on a battle unproven product. I am sure that with their input Surefire will be able to tighten their tolerances and fix the problem. That is, of course, if it is profitable enough for them. Which means more guinea pigs need to go out and buy the M80. But they sure do have a purdee catalog and you can't beat their flash lights.

I do not own the surefire so I can not say personally. I do know three things though. 1. B&T was (is) issued on the Marines version by the hundreds if not thousands with no issues. 2. Surefire has their lame logo on the side (As adamlau pointed out in the M80 thread). 3. Surefire doesn't fit very well. I have the Mesa Tactical 8 shot. The only thing that is not perfect is the screws length; mine were barely too short. Others were too long. If you are careful inserting them you won't have a problem. Mesa Tactical has, most likely, already fixed the problem as I received a new set of screws from them last week and they seated correctly. The only improvement I could think of would be to reuse the Benelli screws. I would defiantly buy another one.
  19. I have both. I was using the 900a until I got the Turbohead (AB) kit. The AB has a much more focused beam, refer to page 22 of the Surefire Tactical Catalog (download PDF) for a visual. Yes, the Turbohead lens housing weighs a bit more, but since it is only the lens and housing the additional weight is about as much as a shell. Additional I prefer the look of the AB, particularly the lens housing as it is a bit wider it looks like it was made for the m4. Hopefully Surefire will make a LED lens kit for the Turbohead housing. That's another nice thing about Surefire, they offer a lot of options.
  20. Mesa Tactical is awesome that way. When I told them my screws weren't long enough they shipped a whole new set the same day at no cost. The new screws fit perfectly and sat a little deeper picking up a few more threads in the receiver. This fixed, my before mentioned problem, and looks great too. Cant beat these guy for customer service.
  21. I also thought that. I also have Mepro brand on my HK .40 and they are nice and bright. Too bad I can't find anyone that caries them locally to compare.
  22. I'm using the Meprolight. I think they are a very dim and almost useless at night.
  23. Just installed today. This is the model with the red LED nav lights. The fit is perfect withe the sling ring offset to the side as pictured. Otherwise it would have to be removed. The color of the light portion is nearly an exact match to the barrel and the black blends well with other black components.

The case is the Pelican 1720. With the M4 extended it leaves about 1.25" on either side. Compacted it is closer to 3.5"

Love my Brugger & Thomet too. Though the supplied allen wrench seemed a bit too small, there was a little wiggle room. Waiting for my m900ab. I have just missed Fedex for the last two days; it driving me nuts.
