  1. Just curious...ever get rust freckles?
  2. Awesome! Looks good! My main query was...how smoothly do they cut it down? It looks like they chamfer it nicely. Can you confirm that the roughly 45* transitional angle between the bore and the 90* of the muzzle is bare steel, or is it parked? What about the muzzle 90* flat itself?
  3. Can someone take a picture of the muzzle of an M4 Entry? I would like the angle and focus (since I'm being picky and all...) to be similar to this (if you can use or have to use flash to illuminate the inside of the bore near the muzzle, is fine. I would like to clearly visualize the muzzle and ID of the bore where it joins the edge of the muzzle:
  4. Yep. Just another shameless plug. Dealt with this user for years. I always get what I paid for on time and the correct parts is in the box.
  5. Picture THROUGH the optic SIGHTING WITH THE IRONS? I want to see just how effectively it co-witnesses.
  6. That's a deal. I paid a lot more for my metal trigger pack.
  7. Very nice! You fixed all the quibbles I had with Mod 0. When I finally get to building my next m1014, this is the illumination solution.
  8. I wonder what my new in bag geiasele is worth. I think I'll wait 3 to 4 years and find out : )
  9. Wow! Glad I bought 6 before thus happened! (I kid I kid...)
  10. If it matches, it's CC. What state are you in?
  11. I've seen both. This is typical and non-critical. Motor on.
  12. I am very curious if you would take a picture through the mounted optic, with the irons properly aligned, so we can see just how well it allows you to use irons THROUGH the optic.
  13. Not that I am aware. The polymer trigger guards in the 870 were actually a benefit. I do not know that anyone had issues with the METAL one's in the M1014, though, even in the sand-box. Like you note though...the polymer remains to be seen in hard duty, so I'm not going to muck around with it.
  14. Actual metal trigger guard and assembly (figured I'd just get the entire assy. as there are many dollars in spare parts if you do it that way vs. sourcing each wee part by itself, money saved.) Benelli going polymer on this part sucks, IMO. Mine won't have that mess.
  15. Does using a reduced trigger spring have any impact on anything OTHER than trigger pull? based on the way the trigger pack is setup, I would not think so at all. However, my question is does it reduce the "drop safety" factor, etc.? Will using a reduced-power trigger spring with a standard power hammer spring cause any unforeseen issues?
  16. Yep. So I saw. It was the first part ordered.
  17. Yes, yes we are. Mainly because of availability issues of the parts I need.
  18. I wish you all had seen the last one I took apart. Every thread was 100% full of red loctite. It wasn't some tiny dab. It was as though they dipped the mag tube in a vat of the stuff and wiped it off when they were done screwing it in.
  19. Nowhere online have I found it...but I'd love a shot of the irons zeroed looking through the BOR /RMR combo with the dot off. Pretend the rmr isn't there. I want to see where the irons fall in that window. I'm considering the dual power rmr, and when the dot washes, would simply transition to irons similar to leupold DEVO/LCO.
  20. The issue for me is that the trigger guard adds rigidity to the receiver in case of impacts (say, being slammed into a door frame by a soldier in full body armor while the weapon is slung). Polymer sill survive just as well as metal, but it will flex, not doing the job of reinforcing the lower half of the receiver nearly as well as metal.
  21. Yep, different state, different job title, same shifts. I had to get one absurdly hot to get it loose. What do you think of clamping to tube or using oven mits and just torching the mag tube with a propane torch in the middle, that way no heat hits the receiver except through the threads. Minimal impact on receiver, maximal on loctite, and the tube is a write off anyways. If I decide it's more issue that it's worth, what would you charge me to remove the mag tube and ship just the receiver back to me? That's all I'd want, tube removed.
  22. I really meant to say magazine, not RE. I was tired. Can you re-respond with that in mind, lol? Sorry.
  23. I cannot see how witness marks would ever truly match if they are shooting for a torque number AND alignment. One or the three would HAVE to vary. Better the mark vary, lol
