Like I said in my reply I WAS WRONG ANYWAYS JUST CLEARING THAT UP.
-
Whats next FALs? Federal airrifle licenses?
-
I got some friends that are friends with riceland, and some friend competition callers, and a cousin comp caller.

Just about all pumps use a tab including Benellis they arent semi autos that use a round button. The center of balance being forward is a good thing because it swings better. The newer 870s aren't as good anymore for some reason. The new 870 wingmasters are still well built.
-
Even though I was wrong I said THE RECOIL PAD HAS TO BE AGAINST SOMETHING TO CYCLE which can include your hip. Like I said I was wrong anyways just clearing that up.
-
I dont own one but I have shot an M2 and other ID benellis, but I have never limp wristed one, but I heard this and assumed it was true. I guess this is why weighing them down makes them not cycle, because it doesn't travel as far backwards.
-
If Ubnotanium is telling the truth that his can cycle 2 3/4 dram 1 1/8 oz loads I think that is the equivalent to 3 dram 1 oz loads. Like I have been saying, M2s rely on recoil and the gun has to have something to kick (The recoil pad has to be against something) to cycle. When your adrenaline is pumping and your nervous you might not shoulder the gun, and if you dont shoulder the gun, you will probably miss, and it is as good as a single shot in that situation. It is like a runner trying to run with his feet of the ground when you dont shoulder it, and a runner trying to run through swamp when its weighed down. An M4 uses gas and will cycle unconditionally. That makes the M4 better for HD, but the M2 is better for hunting.

Most new Benellis have a higher rib which is better. Thats funny novaking, my super nova didn't fit me right at first, but it feels perfect now. My 870 used to feel perfect but it feels wierd now. I guess I just get used to the gun I shoot the most. The novas are very solid (except for the forearm witch is wiggly) and will put up to almost any non-purposeful abuse but I think an 870 will outlast a nova. Im sure my super nova will outlast me but the 870 has such a good rep for durability around where I live and here:http://www.fieldandstream.com/articles/guns/shotguns/2007/08/it-always-goes-bang

I am talking about 3 dram 1 ounce stuff the really cheap stuff that comes in boxes of 100

I live in Arkansas, but I have never duck hunted in Stuttgart I have been there a few times and I hope to go hunting there some day.

What brand, dram, oz of shot is this ammo?
-
Because cost is a factor when choosing a shotgun. If its not a factor to you do you think Inertia is better than gas for HD/reliability?
-
Try firing it with it held beside you with nothing behind the but pad it will not cycle the 2nd round. Try throwing some more tac stuff on it and it probably wont cycle. The M4 will because it doesn't rely on recoil to cycle. Ok good for you, you dont use bird shot and you dont weigh your gun down. Looks like you found a gun that fits your needs fine. But the M4 is still more reliable and doesn't have to be against something to cycle. To me worth the extra money if I wanted a semi auto benelli HD shotgun.
-
You might get rust on your 870 if you dont clean it enough, but the 870 will go bang 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999 percent of the time with an unfired shell in the chamber. I have only heard of 1 870 miss firing 1 time and there are alot of 870s around here. I have a camo 870 super mag and it doesn't get rust ever. The super nova will go bang more like 99.999999 percent of the time. I like the super nova more, but the 870 has very few features but they never fail.

Or you can invest in a bow but I dont bow hunt turkeys either.
-
So people dont use benjamins because the dont cost as much, same thing with cheap walmart loads. Use the good stuff for HD ,patterning, and hunting and the cheap stuff for trap and everything else. The fact that the M2 weighed down wont cycle what an M4 weighed down can means the M4 is more reliable. If I was looking for a semi auto benelli HD shotgun (which I am not) then that would be enough reason for me to invest in the M4. If you like the M2 or want to save some money then go for it. This is just my opinion.
-
So you can shoot it for half the cost.

Welcome to the forum! Maybe you aren't keeping your head on the stock? You might be able to sell your Montefeltro and buy a Cordoba with the money you save from not buying a comfortech stock. My Supernova doesn't "crack" me in the cheek, but it makes my jaw sore before my shoulder (about 300 rounds). It doesn't hurt when I shoot but is sore to the touch. The "gel" comb is made out of hard rubber on the standard comb, but the raised part of the raised comb is made out of a fairly soft gel material. The cordoba stock comes with a raised comb, so if it does fit it will be worth at the most $300

We dont have a gun range around here because no one would use it. Every body has woods to shoot into or has a friend with woods to shoot into. The closest thing to a gun range around here is a trap field. That sucks that you cant shoot shotgun shot johnxd
-
You probably saw normal field shotguns cycling light loads. A tactical M2 weighed down with accessories will not cycle light loads.
-
What if you want to shoot 200 loads through your shot gun at targets at the range or backyard or whatever for a day? Wouldn't you rather pay $40 for light loads instead of $80 for heavy loads? Wouldn't it be cheaper to but one M4 than a tactical M2 and a super nova? If you shot 100 a week this could add up to $960 a year! And the kick situation, I would rather have less kick even though I can handle heavy loads no problem. I'm not really a HD shotgun guy, but this is just some common sense for you.
-
Yea its 16 behind the machine. The first round of trap I shot with my super nova was the first time I shot the gun at moving targets and I hit 18 then second round I hit 16 and then 18 again and better and better I am a 21 average now (Including the early days of hitting in the teens) But I normally hit a 22-23. The mod choke works fine for me but I shoot kind of fast. Before you know it you will hit your 25.
-
Sure using 3s is cheaper, but when the limit is 2 turkeys a year, I want the most out of my gun when turkey season comes.
-
If you have typed this message 4 times already shouldn't this be the fifth post? Just keep posting random stuff on this thread tell you get five.
-
Yea I know what you mean I had the same problem with my super nova around the first turkey season but I got used to it.
