  1. Like I said I might trade for a Remington turkey choke, are Mossberg and Remington chokes interchangeable?
  2. Do your 3" loads cycle any better in a 3" chamber than a 3.5"? I use 3.5" during turkey season and I have never shot over 5 3.5"s a year while hunting. You can kill a turkey the same with a IC choke so why dont you? One time I was turkey hunting with 3" 2 oz shells and I had a slightly less tight choke than I thought I had and I called a jake in and it just wouldn't get any closer than 45 yards for some reason and I shot it, it started flopping, I stood up and walked toward it, and it stood up, ran away must have been injured I dont know why it didnt fly. I think if I would have had a little more lead I would have killed it. So now I use 2 1/4 oz 3.5"s, check my choke before I leave and run towards the turkey right after I shoot. Having a little more lead lets you do a tiny bit more damage, and I want my gun to be as effective as possible.
  3. It helps in trap I dont know about skeet, but trap guns have raised combs that raise the the pattern so you can see the bird with a little bit of air under it. With my 870 I started out with It shot perfectly flat which was great for turkey hunting but when the birds flew high I couldn't see them drop when I shot.
  4. I have a super nova right now and I am looking at some new guns (all of which are crio) and I will probably get a new one soon. If you still have the chokes when I get my new gun I will email you.
  5. I might trade for a Remington black extended extra full choke. It has .687 diameter.
  6. What gun will it not fit in? Does the choke package say benelli? A crio extended choke will have the threads about an inch under the part that sticks out of the barrel. A mobile extended choke has the threads right under the part that sticks out of the barrel.
  7. Benellis usually shoot kind of high so you can aim under the target slightly for bird hunting and trap/skeet shooting.
  8. +1 What is the constriction of that choke?
  9. Well I didn't expect that! I respect everybody's opinion here including yours. I respect everyone here (Unless someone is against the second amendment). I don't swing that way with KRISS either:)
  10. You should have had a shim kit that came with it to adjust it.
  11. I forgot to mention the Cordoba it is the same as the super sport except for the finish. It would make a great crossover gun.
  12. Ok first I like the nick name you gave me so I will call you clay. Clay - manufacturer BS is everywhere. I already set this strait with ShadowShooter. "Your not supposed to use chokes tighter than full with flite control wads" proved it wrong tested it, "you aren't supposed to fire a slug through a full choke" seen it, done it, nothing happened. Just like air soft guns that shoot 150 fps and say they shoot 300. Clay - The KRISS moves the bolt back and down and has a very different design. The new ID system is still mechanical and moves strait back. The "new" ID system is fairly similar to the "old" ID system, the KRISS is almost completely different from the standard gas autos. Clay - you cant look at different manufacturers claims and expect them to be true. The "competition" benelli tested was probably a cheap pump. I meant farmer rednecks that drive ton trucks not white trash rednecks that drive 20 year old cars with a donut for a back tire and red tape tail light repair and spend money the dont have on marijuana (Although I love wakky tobaccy;)) Clay - Just because they lied about when it will be introduced and cant spell "competitive" doesn't make it less revolutionary. I probably wont be able to afford it like I cant afford a new vinci. Sounds like you love your vinci more than your wife so may Clay and Leonardo have many faithful years together. Lets quit aguing over our opinions of "revolutionary"
  13. Im shooting into trees and there is 2 miles of woods past that so Im good. I am sure you know this but it feels so far right at station 5 because you are closer vertically and farther horizontally to the machine.
  14. I use marking flags to mark my stations. Figure out where you want station 3 (middle station) and measure 16 yards (48 feet) strait in front and set your machine there. Then tie a string to your machine that ends exactly where you marked station 3, then move the string exactly 3 yards (9 feet) to the right and mark it then move another 3 yards and mark it again. Then go back to station 3 and move the string 3 yards to the left, mark it and go another 3 yards and mark it. You should now have a semi circle with 5 points. Facing the machine, the far left mark is station 1 then 2, so on. make sure you put a board up so you cant see what angle it will shoot at (like a real trap house). drill a hole in the middle of the board so you can run your pull line or electric cord through it. Then follow Timb99s advice on setting the machine up from there. Good luck here is a picture of my 'Trap House' Sorry It isn't very big or clear I used a cell phone.
  15. If you only use it for hunting get a SBE2. But if you shoot trap or skeet alot you might prefer the cordoba. I am thinking about getting one. The only difference between the cordoba and super sport I can tell is the finish. The super sport has a carbon fiber finish with a stainless steel bolt and extended chokes. The cordoba has a plain black finish and black extended chokes. They both come with raised combs and they are ported other than finish no difference as far as I can tell. Cordoba Super Sport SBE 2
  16. Yea it wasn't to difficult to build if you have a trap machine but its set up with the ata rules exept for speed. I dont know exactly how fast it is going but I messed with it tell it felt just right. It isnt much its a hand cock so its a little anoying when you shoot by yourself walking back and forth and setting the angles I just have a really long string wrapped around my foot to pull. it cost me $40 to build.
  17. I claimed I can shoot 300 trap loads without my shoulder getting sore most people on my trap team can shoot 300 trap loads no pain to. I also claimed I can unscrew a cap and pull a barrel of in 10 seconds try it it isnt very hard. I know what revolutionary means or I wouldnt use that word. I don't think it is a "far cry" from other ID system benellis. It kicks lighter and cycles a tiny bit faster than a gun that already cycles faster than you can pull the trigger. It is also light weight, ok they reduced the capacity and made it 3 inch and whatever else to save weight. The M2 and vinci are very similar. They are 2 similar priced 3" benelli hunting shotguns. No doubt its new but not revolutionary to me. Maybe it is revolutionary to you. This is what it would take in my book to make a revolutionary shotgun: http://www.kriss-tdi.com/products/technology-overview.html
  18. The field I go to only has 3 trap houses. I do most of my shooting now in my trap field I made in my unused field. Where ever or what ever I am shooting I share your love for the sport.
  19. I go through 10 boxes a week and I only shoot on a registered field twice a week do you have a big trap team or something?
  20. My first round I shot 8 and my second round I shot 16 and it slowly got better and better.
  21. FYI I have shouldered a vinci in real life. I have shot 300 trap loads through my super nova without my shoulder getting sore. I can take the barrel of any of my shotguns in 10 seconds and put it in my break down case and its probably a few inches longer than the vinci. I think the vinci is a great gun but not that revolutionary. Its got pretty much the same inertia driven system. To me it just seems like a light weight inertia driven shotgun.
  22. It's the vinci of course it has less muzzle jump than a ported trap gun its a revolution in shotgun technology! I mean sure a non ported gun weighing under 7 pounds, and balanced heavier in the back end would jump far less than an O/U trap gun that ways 9 pounds and kicks from the bottom barrel (first shot) an inch lower almost in line with the shoulder! The Vinci will be the new trap gun of choice! All sarcasm aside I think the Vinci is a good 3" waterfowl gun but it is just to light to be as good at trap as a trap gun. It needs more weight on the front end to swing as smoothly as a trap gun. Any semi auto or any hunting semi auto for that matter takes a higher risk of not going bang twice than an O/U trap gun.
  23. Really? you still havent gotten used to it? I thought your record was 350 strait? What is being used to it 1,000,000,000,000 strait? I can smoke skeet with a mod choke to. I also remeber you saying the vinci had perfect balance for trap. An O/U has the perfect balance for trap because it has heavier barrels which makes it swing smoothly instead of quickly.
  24. What about a bad day?
  25. Its hard to tell you might try to email benelli
