  1. Man we got a beast of a shotgun project in the making
  2. I don't think 1 buck is a safe load to be shot with.
  3. BTW if you want to get a hold of Benelli call them don't email them.
  4. Birdshot will penetrate hollow doors (Which mine are not) If you open the hollow interior doors up, it is a hollow box of 1/4" wood filled with cardboard supports. It wont be enough energy to kill left. I have 1.5" hardwood interior doors, which #1 buck should not penetrate with lethal force. I am not sure about drywall. I wouldn't mind "striking" my neighbors anyways I say you should test a variety of loads with drywall and doors and find the biggest safe load possible.
  5. You might advertise here or on SGW if any body wants to trade stocks. I don't think it will happen, but it won't hurt anything and is worth a try IMO.
  6. Yes, the Cordoba forend as well as the butt stock will fit the Super Sport or the Sport II. They are the same guns, except the Cordoba is in a matte (non reflective) finish for hunting.
  7. Is that gun powder at the bottom left of the picture?
  8. Clean the inside of the gun thoroughly, and apply light oil, and shoot a couple boxes of 3" and it should cycle 1 oz fine. I am not sure about 7/8, possibly. You can also pattern as you shoot the 3" and find the POI. Put the Z shim in it is the closest to parallel with the rib.
  9. I have taken combs out of 2 Benellis, and they are pretty tricky. The extra high comb, with the appropriate shim, should be parallel or almost parallel with the rib. You can get the raised and extra high combs from brownells. This would be good for mounting a scope, but that would be an awful high POI. I would get the raised comb, and experiment with the shims.
  10. That is great accuracy. I personally think people buy the winchester xp3s and such, for looks. I have had the best luck with federal ammo to. Good luck to you as well.
  11. I don't think so, but I know a Cordoba stock will. A black Cordoba stock has a grip tight coating. It is also available in max4hd.
  12. I saw that to, and if I remember correctly, it was $400
  13. I am suprised Benelli didn't port the vinci barrel, it would reduce weight, and recoil, and muzzle jump. If you get it ported I reccomend Briley angle port, I have handled a 391 with briley angle port, and it is great looking, and it throws the gas up, so it furter reduces muzzle jump. The price quote from briley is just under $100
  14. I haven't got to shoot one yet, just throwing that out there, hopefully I will have the chance tomorow. I will tell you what I think tomorow. The comfortech can spread the recoil out over time and distance, but enough time and distance to eliminate felt recoil, and it would probably have alot of muzzle jump, or the stock would wear out pre-maturely.
  15. 12 & 20, black & camo.
  16. A rifle's trigger pull is preferably light, not stiff. The Vinci has kick. Inertia driven means recoil driven, recoil means kick. The Vinci HAS TO KICK TO OPERATE. If there were no recoil it wouldn't cycle. There may be little recoil, but it is there, it has to be.
  17. The gun has to kick to operate, Inertia driven is a way to say recoil driven, after shooting several 3" through my M2 I got used to the recoil, and I didn't pay attention to it, I guess I could say there is no recognized recoil but if I think about it there is felt recoil. I didn't know the comb was new, I thought is was the same as the normal comfortech.
  18. My best results were federal vital shok with Barnes MRX.
  19. I was using the factory super full extended choke that came with my gun, because it is a turkey model: http://www.remington.com/products/accessories/gun_parts/remChoke_tubes.asp
  20. I don't go squirrel hunting out of season I just shoot them if they are in the open. It helps being friends with the game warden.
  21. I have been using some old federal 3.5" turkey loads, and have some old 3" and new with flitecontrol 3", and decided to figure out if there is any advantage in the flite control. I felt like shooting my newest gun, so I used my M2. I used the factory full choke. I put a 6" target at 40 yards and shot 5 of each and the old averaged 5.5 hits in the circle. The flitecontrol averaged just above 22 hits. I have to say that is a huge difference, but when I tested it with my superfull turkey choke in my 870 super mag it wasn't such a big difference. 29 hit average with the new and 21 with the old. Apperantly after you start using tight chokes it deforms the wad slightly and the pattern isn't as good as it should be. If I had an overbored barrel I would expect some unbeatable patterns with the flitecontrol wads. I am going to order some in 3.5" (can only get 3" localy). You wont be dissapointed with flitecontrol. Here is a picture of Old VS. New:
  22. Squirrel being out of season doesn't stop me
  23. I wish I could afford a Cordoba. I got an M2 in camo instead. I think the Cordoba is over priced, because the only advantage over the M2 is looks and chokes. The only difference between the Cordoba and M2 (not including accessories and looks) is the Receiver which if I am correct is a 2 piece in the Cordoba and a 1 piece in the M2. You still cant put a fair price on looks.
  24. Great now we can't defend our children, or ourselves in the same place, yyyyaaaayyyyyy
  25. This would be called the movie combo because you almost never have to reload it. It would also make cool gun clicky noises every time you touch it.
