  1. Does it have a steady grip stock, or just a standard grip? I have been looking for a new turkey gun and this sounds like it fits the bill. The choke is extended, right?
  2. Does max dram mean the most powder that will fit in the shell with the shot? Or is it a number, because I normally see it on turkey shell boxes which I know have more powder than 1 oz. loads.
  3. Let me know what happens, I am considering picking up some of these, although I don't like the fact that they are heavy weights and the most shot I can get in them is 1 7/8 oz. Just like an ounce of steel is more than an ounce of lead, the ounce of something heavier than lead is less shot than an ounce of lead. But it is high velocity so you have to make room for the extra powder, but I want standard velocity, If you get increased penetrating power than something that already kills a turkey, then why add velocity? The should go from 2 1/4 oz of lead to 3 oz of HD shot. Keep it mind that 1 7/8 oz. of HD shot isn't as much as 1 7/8 oz shot of lead but actually equal to 1 1/4 oz of lead, that wad better do it's job good for me to use that.
  4. This is a good idea rifled slugs are probably your best affordable bet, I prefer federal truball.
  5. I guess this is what happens when tucker doesn't have spell check
  6. Tell us your results, hope they are better.
  7. Ok this one worked, but I have seen it before, good job regardless.
  8. I can't tell you why, but I put the champion easy hit sight which is bigger than the sbe/m2 bead, but just a tad smaller than the nova bead. And it is much brighter that either beads. It is amazing how much different the pump models are from the semi autos.
  9. You are supposed to line the two beads up, so that the beads are centered with each other, and sitting down wont make much difference, you need to shoot with the gun on a table.
  10. Tucker, I do not need your link, but when I clicked on it to see how good of a job you did, It just takes me to ebaum's world home page, then I went to pufile.com and searched for super black eagle cleaning, it didn't show it. What is up with that?
  11. Yes this is normal for benellis. It would take a LOT of shells to actually damage the gun this way, I doubt it is even possible to physically damage the gun's function. It should only wear to a certain extent. I don't think you could cover it up without stopping the shell from jamming the gun. I am surprised you saw so many problems in multiple remingtons. Now if you said charles daly I would find that easier to believe.
  12. Because the shot spreads out more and more the further it travels and a fixed choke tactical barrel will have a fairly open choke probably not tighter than mod.
  13. I guess that means you have a right hand gun right? If so then if it was used then maybe the seller flipped the locking plate around. Maybe the manufacturer flipped the locking plate around. Maybe the gun doesn't fit you right, maybe you hold your gun a little different than most people, maybe you flinch, who knows? You need to try shooting from a rest. How far does it shoot to the left?
  14. First we need to know what kind of choke do you have it the gun.
  15. You can get the barrel here: http://www.ableammo.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=104171 And my favorite chokes are briley, and I am sure they make great slug chokes: http://www.briley.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=19 I know what you mean about the small town thing, same here.
  16. Now we know it is a 12 gauge 3.5" chamber.
  17. Try some heavy 3" turkey loads and see what happens. Also apply a light coat of oil just to have the best chance of cycling. I also had a problem with my M2 when I took it apart and took the rotary bolt head off and didn't put it together right. Did you take apart the rotary bolt head?
  18. They have a marked rod down here that they push up into the magazine tube and if they can see the mark then the gun is ok, if they cant they write you up. I am friends with the game warden. As long as it is impossible to put 3 2.75" shells in the magazine tube you will be fine. A dowel rod sounds like a good option to.
  19. You can use a pencil for a plug. Sorry can't help you with the stock, but I know it is available with a standard stock.
  20. It could be what tucker said and you have a distorted pattern. Or it could be a POI problem. Try shooting some 6 shot or lighter with the full choke. The gun shooting a little high is normal for a Benelli. This is so you can shoot the bird while seeing the bird. I like to have my wing and clay guns shooting 80% of the shot above the dot I put the bead on. I like a scope-less turkey gun to put 60-50% of the shot above the dot I put my bead on. Are you right hand or left hand? Are you shooting a right or left hand gun? Have you ever took the butt stock off?
  21. It has excellent reviews, 4.8 out of 160 at cabelas. I would have more concern over eye relief than shock proof, because some reviews were bad about eye relief. But I would go for it if I was looking for a shotgun scope of that magnification and price. It may not be perfect, or may have a defect, but deer season will be here before you know it. One time when I was small, I was fishing with my dad and I was trying to decide which bait would be perfect, like you are doing with the scope. Then my dad asked if I was taking so long because I couldn't find a good bait and I said yes. Then my dad said I wasn't going to catch anything unless I got a bait in the water. So I think you need to put that scope on your gun and if it doesn't go right then cabelas has an excellent return policy.
  22. And then he will be taking a million pictures and overloading photobucket and this forum with them
  23. Well if you don't tell me if that pic you posted is of the actual gun you own, then it is pointless, but if it is then it says Rafeallo. Is your new gun a Rafeallo?
  24. So this is a pic of the actual gun?
  25. I am not interested in the gun, but is the full choke stuck because you shot steel shot in it? If you don't know did you shoot steel shot through the full choke? BTW it is hard to trade a cheaper gun for a more expensive gun, most people usually get their next gun as expensive, or better. The best luck you will get for a trade, will probably be a pawn shop.
