  1. Ditto. Thanks Uno. It is always hard to put two and two together with contrary information from mystery sources. Left me with more questions than answers. In January I asked a Geissele rep about the Benelli hammer and was told Benelli didn't make an M4. Laughed HARD! Moments like that can often explain how TKTM might have been misinformed. Been there. "Left hand speaking for the right hand" happens. It's all clear now.
  2. In order to be in position to take this picture, you had to be affiliated with someone, unless it is pirated from a differnt tktm. Last I heard, Shot Show attendance requires affiliations:confused:
  3. Yes please. The Deltapoint especially. Thanks.
  4. 2 port good, 4 port bad. Sounds like a lizard's tail. Every time you sell an M4, it grows back.
  5. Ditto. Curious how that trigger works with Geissele Hammer.
  6. Who is 'he'? Why the cloak and dagger aspect? You appear to be the ONLY one trying to prove others wrong with hypothetical scenarios. All other input appeared to be fact based of non-ambiguous origin. I apologize if my input contributed to your feeling oppressed. I'm done.
  7. That looks like a reduced price from what I last saw! Thanks.
  8. Wish I knew what that blue wrap is on his thumb... Either grip tape to enhance feeding or bandage to protect blister.
  9. Who sells them commercially? Seen them in the past on Gunbroker and wondered if they are factory direct or take-offs.
  10. KB... now I see what 2+2=.... The anonymous person who tried to convince everyone the Geissele hammer was dead may have tipped his hand.
  11. What part of Oregon are the Merriam's concentrated? Might be hunting that corner of the lower 48 during a stop-over to Canada soon.
  12. That's a relief. Silly us. In summary---"Knowledgable" source(s) indicate; Hammer demand is unabated Hammer supply chain has expanded U.S. made Hammer meets a critical need. Case solved:cool: Thanks for confirming our suspicions! For a few days there I thought we were the crazy ones.
  13. TKTM were you listening to BigHat? Barbara inferred the beloved hammer will always have a purpose, much like a corsage that completes a prom date's gown, the rest of the fire control group is just a 3rd wheel.
  14. True, one had to ask, and the response was... They opted out because there is no need or demand for a 6th, 7th, and 8th 922R comliance component for that "shotgun". They did their homework. Thats's how I knew 'Barbara' was sharp enough to know the difference between a carbine and a shotgun.
  15. No not at all! You were kidding right???
  16. Come to Texas. When on leave (about twice a year), a Trooper and I corner crows for the hogg's supper.
  17. True Sir. Barbara at Geissele is perplexed how anyone assumed demand had waned. Since she handles billing and purchase orders that dispells the rumor as I see it. They have been swamped and apologized for not having the resources to keep everything in stock all the time, and assured all vendors have an intact supply line and demand. Older posts would bear this out, Carriercomp's owner and Geissele collaborated on this over a year ago as I recall, so my guess is Carriercomp sells out the fastest, and everyone panics to scrounge what remains elsewhere. Until the facts were clear I wondered if someone was pretending the end is near just to generate demand. Now it appears demand is the only reason supply is tight. Geissele is busy... sign of the times.
  18. +1 for Fed Tru-Ball in anything from Mod choke or less constriction.
  19. Price and craftsmanship are subjective bedfellows. Optics would tend to safely win your bet. Save your betting money when it comes to premium threaded fasteners, which is all a mag tube is. If it is top notch, has a guarantee, and priced fairly, the down side will typically be longer wait times vs any higher priced alternative. I've seen higher pricing strategies which are vanity based tied to branding, and/or the bottom line of the manufacturer. This tends to satisfy impulsive and impatient buyers alike. Most Benelli owners are a little more savvy than that, and tend to do their homework first, and save their money if time permits. From what I've seen in this industry, consumers will take a number for the best value, regardless of price.
  20. I'll ask if he remembers where he got them as he mentioned getting them last year. Seems like over-kill to me though. He mentioned taking receipt of several for club members where he shoots and offered me one. I took a pass since I'm already compliant.
  21. I don't. That thread was brought to my attention by one of my peers who had a similar phone experience with Freedom Fighter Tactical. His personal account is the one I put faith in. He asked me to take a look at many threads (including ours here) and help him decide how to view 922 jargon. I was hard pressed to respond to your inquiry since I agree hear-say is all forums contain. I answered you based on my faith in his personal account, which I do trust. His experience caused him to shy away, when he observed another doofus had a similar chat. It confused him more than anything else, since FFT was the only source poo-pooing Geissele.
  22. Here's one of them. The 9th post onwards relates. Confirmed by the calls made from Houston as well. FFT expends notable effort verbally lancing their competitors. Unfortunate. http://www.ar15.com/mobile/topic.html?b=6&f=1&t=365863
  23. The GG&G release does work with both. The M2's charging handle is not cross-compatible. The release is available direct from GG&G. Enjoy that gun.
