  1. Are they in a slump, or getting swamped I wonder?
  2. Coming from those who say... "We Have to Pass the Bill So That You Can Find Out What Is In It" ...we may not receive specifics. I contend it's not "how" or if we react, but more that we demonstrate we are on guard.
  3. Didn't have that luxury, since I bought them from a forum member whose experience varied, but hearing your more recent account, compels me to give it a shot and buy direct. I do like the Urbino.
  4. Thanks Steve. That is just the sort of intel I expected in due time.
  5. The store seemed to indicate "In-Stock " so that they could get the ball rolling, but the description states " NOW AVAILABLE~Shipping on June 21st, 2011 I think post # 49 narrowed it down some. Ask him if you haven't already.
  6. I think he only notified the 1st thirty inquiries, and may go forward when he gets more... No ranking reply on my inquiry either, sent well after April 25th
  7. My brother has a complete trigger group assembly that he was cleaning when the rest of his cased M1S90 grew legs at a gun club. He offered to ship the trigger group to me for spare parts towards my M4. Are they cross compatible??
  8. +3 #33 on the waiting list. Ordered 10 minutes ago.
  9. I have the Urbino in FDE, but scrapped my black Freedom Fighter Tactical hand guards due to atrocius fit. If anyone tries these new FDE ones and determines the tongue-&-groove, warpage, and tendency to "creak" loudly has been resolved, please let us know. I would definitely give them (FFT) a second chance to match my Urbino. Thanks for the post pics.
  10. Wonder if an adapter or mod could be performed to use that on an M4??
  11. Nice !! Do they have any markings indicating maker and/or origin? Does the install look easy and straight forward?
  12. If those 4 are each domestic... Yes Sir.
  13. The fixed stock is one part, the C-Stock renders the pistol grip a seperate additional part.
  14. I noticed what looks like spot heat treating around the notches. The rest of the recoil tube may require an exotic cutter to whittle on. Which position are you going for?? Longer or shorter than mid-position? Just curious.
  15. I only need the hammer. I applaud Geissele for offering a no frills indestructable 922r option. Replace and forget. A 922r component has already been flubbed up trying to make them fit like the stock handguards being replaced:mad:... doubt that will be an issue with the hammer.
  16. I personally did not boycott. I have various maker's bolt knobs, and his appears to have triple the manufacturing costs and time involved. I just want the black one now, even if it represents quadruple effort, just send me the bill:D. Kip explained on the phone how the solid ti variant was a single operation, yet on the hybrid he has two op's on the ti part, and 6 op's for the A2 part, after which the joining process is performed, rounded out by the muted process. Like Unobtanium once stated, "Good things come to those who wait" I'm on board with that.
  17. socom1, I got a double reply to the same inquiry. Either he likes me better, or he dumb-thumbed the reply key and forgot to hit send on yours:o. He indicated at this point he is having difficulty amassing enough extras to send out for the coating process, since the muted option is steady selling. Maybe we should boycott the muted ones so he has no choice but to send all future produce out for the black coating.
  18. I wonder if HK holds International patents on the gas retarded blowback design, where the gas works against the piston, rather than driving it? In a shotgun it would not only allow for multiple shell lengths, but it would also be able to differentiate pressure curves in each and every variation, allowing for infinite moderation, that would let the recoil spring experience the same chore regardless of what was thrown at it.
  19. Critical moment is often encountered when firing from a roof top, aiming down, training scenario. The gravity retards rearward bolt velocity, and aids return to battery. Combine that notably quicker cycle time, and the overhead rounds now being fully supported by the spring underneath, as opposed to basic horizontal transfer. In that scenario failures can and do occur often, in the form of FTF, specifically the returning bolt will lock the shell stop before the "lazy" spring can pass a shell . If you do most of your shooting with the firearm horizontal, or aiming upwards, the weaker spring will almost always do the job.
  20. At that point I'd get it. Since she's not an "eX" yet, I was cringing just a wee-bit.
  21. I trust you know these two people, and suspect he fancies that sort of humor.
