  3. The pics aren't very high res...but this may shed some light. They attach to the recoil tube differently, are molded differently and have different internal hardware. There is an 'exploded view' of the M1/M3 stock on this page: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=0/sid=683/schematicsdetail/Super-90-M1-Military-Police#s15628sid683 There is an 'exploded view' of the M4 stock on this page: http://www.brownells.com/ascx/.aspx/sid=916/schematicsdetail/Benelli-M4
  4. What finish is it? What beads are on it? Any chokes included? What kinda shape is it in? Round count? Pics?
  5. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth...as they say...
  6. Basically, the difference is that the civilian marketed (as imported) M4 is / was only available with the fixed, pistol-grip stock. When you replace it with the c-stock, the pistol grip is a separate piece (not integeral with the butt stock). This is the summary: The standard fixed stock Benelli M4 model 11707/11717 as imported contains 13 parts, which are governed by 922® provisions. Prior to performing any modifications, you must FIRST reduce that parts count to ten (10), after which the parts count may NOT exceed 10 import parts from that list. Kip's 922 FAQ @ carriercomp.com goes into a little more detail: http://www.carriercomp.com/FAQ.html
  7. All speculation aside, I think it is clear from them stating that this is a "Law Enforcement Edition" M4 as well as saying it has a 6 position stock - nevermind all the "ATF" B.S. - that the seller is either selling a bill of goods or is just completely ignorant about the platform.
  8. That answer is state law dependent. For most non-commie states, it is perfectly legal - the same as a 6 position stock on a AR-15 or an Archangel stock on a 10/22. As far as 922r is concerned, an M4 with a OEM C-Stock (but not a 7 round mag tube) must have 3 US made 922r compliance parts installed to be 922r compliant.
  9. Yes...and Joe Beltbuckle @ Bubba's Ham Sandwiches and Guns 'called the ATF and OK'd' it...I don't know about you, but that is all the assurance I need...maybe they'll sell me some NFA weapons too...LMAO
  10. I especially like this line..."We called the ATF and OK'd this with them."...dumba$$e$...nevermind that it's not even an LE, as stated...
  11. Take it easy on 'em H&K...some people are slow to catch on...
  12. This is what I have...got it at Lowes...works very well. Oddly enough, I haven't found a specific temperature rating yet...just wattage. ***UPDATE*** info on Grainger website says varible temp from 120F - 1150F http://www.amazon.com/Porter-Cable-PC1500HG-1500-Watt-Heat-Gun/dp/B004Q04X44

I have heard about the 20+ round magazine extentions which I imagine - without having handled one - are impractical, 'gimmicky', and most likely not very reliable...but, I was curious about their 7 round mag tube, specifically.
  14. I noticed the same thing while installing a CC mag tube a couple of weeks ago. No longer the green Loctite...and it did take a substantially longer time and higher temp to break the tube loose.
  15. Things is gettin' weird around here...

DELMASFINA ...if this is you, please PM me. Thanks.
  17. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not..jsn124 said he couldn't get his barrel all the way into the receiver...but mine went right in, with no trouble. ...ok..this has gone too far...
  18. LOL...This *is* a small community...the M80 that jsn124 is talking about that he bought, then returned to Hookster is the one I have... I didn't have any issues with it fitting and I still have it on my M4 today.
  19. While this may seem a little 'corny'...the points are well made. It is worth the 7 minutes.
  20. Ditto...I had the M80 on both M4 and M1014 also...no issues.
