  1. ordered march 5, received jan 27. not worth it, buy from somebody else
  2. Ordered beginning of March, got a shipping notification 12/22............still nothing and have been advised 2 different times I would have it by now. Wonder how Kip would feel if he sent me the tube and then I would pay.........10+ months later.
  3. I agree completely, rarely do I run a course with the side saddle unless its an extremely long course requiring 40+ shells or its a stage where you have to go to bolt lock after every target. I've been practicing with the quad load from AP customs but so far my favorite method is using Cali Comp loaders.
  4. Nordic nova extension. With ghost load the gun holds 11 in that setup.
  5. Nope, doesn't interfere lefty or righty. My grip is generally at the very front of the foregrip.
  6. This is my 3gun setup. I also have a combat setup which is basically the same minus the tube extension but I add a single point sling and a breacher choke. Let me know what you guys think. 7. Love the setup.....how much does it weigh full fed, sling, and stuffed side saddle (and don't forget to ghost load)?
  8. AVATactical...truly great product and obviously you're someone who uses sound skills to find solutions. Let me pose another challenge from the Benelli M4 community....not to get to far off-track but a light weight, low profile, field strip-able, heat shield. Something that would allow for a modern grip technique thus facilitating better quick acquisition shooting. Obviously you have a lot going on now but just wanted to put something in the back of your mind : )
  9. So Oct 5th I requested an update regarding my order made March 2nd. I was told shouldn't be more than 4 or 5 weeks. Still nothing and they are taking new orders. Feels like.........I am losing faith in Kip.
  10. Got an update from Marcy. The rest of Feb orders should ship over the next 4 to 5 weeks then March orders get going.
  11. Anybody............anybody................Bueller?
  12. Everybody and their brother has an AR-15, only bad-a$$es have Benelli M4s. You want a rifle, buy slugs for your M4 and drill nails at a 100 yards brother. I have seen more people smile from ear to ear after doing fl mag dump out a M4 than any other weapon except a 50 cal. Benelli M4 = Priceless

    M4 + Slugs?

I had the same concerns when I first picked up my m4 but I made sure to put at least 150 rounds of the heaviest stuff I could find through it (3" Super Slugs/Buck). I avoided shooting from a bench or sandbag to avoid the collarbone hickey. After that, it has run everything including the cheapest game load "super sale" crap. I was also extremely worried about sending a piece of my new benelli downrange by using the wrong chokes with slugs but after having shot probably close to 1000 slugs in competition or for fun, I can assure you there is no issue using the stock modified choke it comes with. Just make sure to clean the barrel regularly as it will quickly build up wadding and carbon like a champ (be especially careful if using a ported choke). Second best purchase for a benelli m4(next to ammo) is a bore snake.
  14. I did the same and used a touch of purple loctite on the treads as mine loosed up after two days of practical shotgun matches. Ever since, hasn't budged a mm.
  15. Yep, I experienced quality issues as well. Below is my email to Mesa. So I recently purchased a urbino stock from FFT and was shipped without the cheek riser. I contacted you guys and you were able to send me out one in a short period of time so thank you for that (even though it is someones fault other than mine for packing product). Now to the good stuff. Not even two weeks later did the hand grip begin to slide off with minimal effort. I had to use superglue and epoxy to keep the d*** thing on. And today, if you can believe it or not, the butt pad fell off the butt plate. I have less than 500 rounds through the gun and the stock was attached as instructed. So here's the question, how can you go around claiming USA Made when the quality of your product is worst than the sh** hitting the shores from China. Can you explain to me why your product, which peoples lives depend on has the rubber grip fall off during normal operation and then the sadly attached adhesive butt plate hits the floor? Luckily I had two operators with me back from Iraq and Afghanistan who witnessed the poor craftmanship so hopefully they instruct their fellow comrades of the crap you guys are putting out. I wish I could say I was dropping my shotgun from 5 story buildings or have shot 50,000 rounds through it but that would be untrue. Chances are you are not going to do anything about it and that's fine. I won't worry about forwarding you a copy of my receipt and all that jazz. You can pawn it off on some crap Quality Control guy or a 1 in a million production run type deal but the truth is, in my eyes, your just trying to gouge the market and quality is not even remotely a concern. As the adage goes, if you have a good product maybe your customer will tell one or two people but if you have a crap product they'll tell at least ten......well ten is an understatement......good luck fellas. Below is their response. I apologize for the problems you have experienced with our Urbino tactical stock. Despite the unfortunate issues you encountered, our products have a reputation for some of the highest quality in the industry, and we didn't earn this reputation through clever advertising. When our customers do experience field issues (and of course they do, everyone's customers do), we do whatever we can to rectify the problems. But it doesn't sound like you want us to do anything to help you. Good luck and best regards, Mitch And I know some of you guys will say am I overly harsh...and that may be true...but you don't get second chances when your life is on the line and neither should the products you use.
  16. You lucky [email protected]$#, I'm jealous. Oh and as the norm goes, pics or it didn't happen
  17. Just my two cents for anyone else that might have encountered this situation. I bought a CrapStar +2 extension and couldn't get 7 in so first thing I thought was, well must be the spring. Started hacking away. Still nothing. The lesson I learned is when you attach a +2 take the spring out and just leave the follower in and try to get your 7 shells in. When I did this it wasn't possible to get them all in. Some extensions have a tapered/stepped end that won't let the follower get the extra 1/4" (or less) needed to seat the 7th shell. So before you start hacking, start stacking and can confirm it works and if it doesn't you still have the opportunity to return the product w/ a full length spring : )
  18. LRM1981 when did you originally order your tube, if you don't mind my asking?
  19. Anybody have an update on their order? Ordered mine 3/5, hopefully I get it before the Nordic Components Shotgun competition in July.
  20. the part that was difficult was where the trigger assembly goes in the reciever by the pistol grip. It wouldn't seat all the way.eventully it seat with alot of pressure. I took it apart after I got it back together to see if anything was broken and it all looked fine. But getting the trigger assembly to seat into the reciever was challenging. have you ever had that problem? Is it always going to be that difficult to push it down into place so you can get the hole to line up for the pin? When I took the trigger out the second time and put it back in it was alot quicker once I knew how to do it but it seemed like it took alot of force, I thought that it would just slide into place but it took some pressure to get it to seat You using an Urbino stock?
