I was gonna say, you must have friends in the NFA branch if you're already bringing it home. WELCOME, to the M4 Platform as it should be.

It's just a part. Don't ship outside the US due to ITAR. One could cad up the Knob easily. Ideally said knob would be close to what you see on the CC knobs, the OEM one is too slim, that's what you would want to overcome while keeping weight down. What material is being proposed for the knob?

Wish I could. Really I do. Remember why I did what I did, and what limited knowledge and skills I actually have. I don't know design. I don't know manufacturing. I have a career in a completely unrelated field. I designed what I did because there weren't any good options, it took me a really long time. My daughter sat on my lap while I did it late into the night on many evenings. She remembers what the screen looks like many years later. I have them machined by people that know how, as I most certainly do not. This part is relatively simple in the CAD part, the tough part is the manufacturing. Multiple Parts. Proprietary bonding process. I'd have to pay a shop to do all that and hope they do it right. I'm likely to lose on the deal.

I'd pool with SD, and buy another 500+

Wait... do you have a complete SR25? That was the project that interrupted the M4 build last time around.

Announcement: AVA Mod1 for the Benneli M4
AVATactical.com replied to AVATactical.com's topic in Benelli
In the hypothetical, I would simply need to duplicate the m-lok side of my mount and then model in the through holes for screws on one side. It would take awhile to get right, but it wouldn't be a major redesign. Even small changes, however, can be. If you have something in mind, I will always be willing to discuss and be up front about it. The production costs I referenced, to be perfectly clear, are third party Prototyping costs. I send models off to a few companies that do that and they provide me a bid to run a unit out. It's not cheap to do so, understandably.- 105 replies

One offs are expensive, unfortunately. Protos ran from 500-1200 each, unfinished. Basically, it's not doable except for the most dedicated of causes. I can easily model one up, I'd do that for free even though it would be a load of work - the machining and finishing costs are what are going to hit your pocket book, I can't do that in house. If you're looking for Pic Rails on each side, our friends at IWC can do that on their mount- 105 replies

The AVA is ambidextrous. You can put the light on either side.- 105 replies

Why so many discontinued aftermarket parts for the M4?
AVATactical.com replied to bcruze's topic in Benelli
Volume. Lower volume means both higher production costs per unit and lower over all sales. Only a portion of M4 owners will buy your aftermarket part. I think most that make parts for the M4 and stick with it do it because they have an affinity for the platform and not because it is the most fiscally responsible way to expend ones resources. -

Really Cool Video. Made me want to see the engineering and design video too! That guy couldn't possibly be more humble.

I don't like brakes on benellis either...

Vang Comp is kinda the guy when it comes to shotgun barrel porting, but there was a specific reason he wouldn't touch benelli barrels. I can't recall the details. I could even be wrong. I would check with them and Rose Action Sports. Obviously this would preclude chokes and suppressors...

Interesting, they did it right in that they added an enhancement to the stock build out so that even though with metal ones may consider it. What do they run? Might consider building one out with a aftermarket lifter, etc...
-
Les: The trigger group with design on the bottom of the trigger guard is the metal one. The dark black one with the plastic mold mark down the center is the poly one. 12508: It's VERY doubtful the aftermarket can find economies in making a aftermarket metal FCG housing for these unless they were to make some other meaningful desired improvements for the enthusiasts that would mean some would also replace metal FCGs they have with this new super FCG. Unbotanium: Are you back to building an M4?

Are you back on the M4 Build out?

What is the barrel condition?

It's the devil.

Modern quality springs may fatigue from cycles, but will last a lifetime anyway. Modern quality springs do not fatigue from compression within the design range.
