  1. YIKES... some parts of some guns are not easy to find. So... tell me... how do they mark a spring? LOL.
  2. Why would they object to boxes with lots of small parts? I mean, that is what is required when you are in the business of refinishing firearms afterall. I guess it would be simpler with an AK platform, but still...
  3. NICE. I have to get around to doing this one day...
  4. The M4 Entry mag tube is the same length as the standard US M4 tube, minus the faux extension on it that holds no actual rounds.... If you put a full length mag tube, such as the FFT or the CC, it will stick out beyond the barrel - and you would no longer have a way to secure the barrel assembly to the chassis.
  5. No clue, you know what I know... I haven't tried it. Interesting concept. Yes the safety has to be 100% for it to be worth a crap. I am not a huge fan of how far it sticks out from the body, but it must do so to clear the contours of the pistol grip. Ideally, but it would be prohibitively expensive, there would be a pistol grip with new contours so it could be flush. I like the 45 idea as well, that should me a matter of the way the barrel is milled. Do you use 45's on all your ARs, I assume?
  6. https://www.s2-usa.com/products/benelli-safety-selector-switch To the poll... Like No Like Eh...
  7. Rose Action Sports... Seems to be the go to, not expensive from what I understand. Fair pricing.
  8. Having a choke system cut into mine in the next few months.
  9. I have not. I live in a decent climate in terms of keeping firearms from rusting. Not the Florida coast. We get pretty humid in July/Aug but they are kept in A/C'd dehumidified climate.
  10. Bare steel. The entire cut surface is bare steel. In person it looks and feels like a decent rounded transition from the OD to the 90* front flat, then a sub 45* chamfer transitions that to the bore. It looks very well done IMO. Of course you can have one made from a full length barrel by Steve @ Rose, not sure what those results look like.
  11. Not perfectly in focus on the muzzle, but I can take one... if you need a more definite example. Do you want the ID measured - I can put the calipers in there...
  12. Thank you sir!!! Appreciate the comments. The screws should be torqued to no more than 20 INCH pounds. Generally I torque the top two on the mount, then the bottom two. For the light, same thing, the two short screws should absolutely be torque'd first and the bottom of the light clamp is then secured.
  13. Interested in this topic. Obviously it can be done, see the 10.5"ish M4 SBSes out there, but I don't know how the surgery is accomplished.
  14. Merry Christmas StrangerDanger! Someone has a wonderful father!
  15. That's a magazine clamp mount design. Plenty of them available. They have cons as well. Namely slipping and the fact you can no longer disassemble the firearm without tools.
  16. Unfortunately, there are not any 'Great' solutions. At least that I am aware of. Been discussed here at length. This is one option, won't be for everyone. Not even for me. IMHO, on a full length shotgun - your best option is to deal with the barrel shadow. Second best option? Put a light on both sides or a long light. Both a solution in search of a problem.
  17. 4 Cells worth of body extension is 2.5 ounces. Dummy Cells are about the same - 17 grams each, for about 2.4 ounces. Total 5 ounces unless lighter cells can be made...
  18. Not sure it's needed. The body is stiff, this is basically a 6 cell instead of a 2 cell. This is of course new, not a lot of testing executed yet.
  19. Awe Shucks! Thank you sincerely. Here is a side by side of a standard light and the longer light that gets you to barrel length. You can also choose to go somewhere in between - to reduce but not eliminate shadow, there are several lengths of extensions available. These extensions are Surefire 6 Series compatible and also fit the P2X Fury (new) series. You can add batter life by doing this as well. Won't be for everyone, but if barrel shadow is a pet peeve this is a viable solution. http://i.imgur.com/xtfv3Hg.jpg PRICING $35.00 Chose 1-4 Cell Extension. Each cell is ~1.3 Inches. 4 Cells allows you to get your emitter flush with the barrel. Each extension will come with Dummy Cells to maintain default voltage. This is a special order item. Please email us to order.
  20. Not a photochop... With surefire fury, G2x or other lights, if you want to eliminate all barrel shadow.... that can in fact be done... Have a salvo 12? We can eliminate suppressor shadow as well? How long of a light do you need?.......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Email me if you are interested.
  21. Thanks gentlemen. Pleased you are happy with the results!! I like the new version of the fury much better, not only is it knurled but as you mentioned the feature fits right into the void built into the mount and locks it in place. Although we tested it with the original smooth fury as well and it would not move even when using 3" slugs.... we wanted to eliminate any possible slipping.
