  1. I have stippled the stock (grip area) and the forearm on a few Nova guns. All those “ribs” you see got the usual wood burning tool treatment. If you've done a Glock you can do this.
  2. Show us the end of the magazine tube (without the mag tube cap screwed into place). Is anything sticking out past the end of the gun's magazine tube?
  3. Numrich Gun Parts has some in stock
  4. Push the barrel down and tighten the magazine cap.
  5. @remarkable You knew where I was going with the model # question.😉 Why Benelli choose to make a 3” AND a 3.5” SBE3 when they already have a 3” M2 is something I don't understand ...but I've been tinkering with Italian shotguns long enough to know they do what they want to do and tell us Americans we will like it.
  6. On the box or some of the Benelli paperwork that came with the gun.
  7. @misslebait Which model # SBE3 do you have?
  8. At one time Benelli sent their Performance Shop guns to various stateside gunsmiths for the “enchantments” (and as far as I know they still do). The hunting guns go to a well known shop that advertises a lengthened forcing cone as part of the package. Your chamber looks like the FC reamer may have slightly touched the edge of the chamber while in use. The good new is that little scoring mark will have zero effect on the shotgun's operation.
  9. That sounds exactly like a weak magazine spring and/or debris hanging up the follower. If by chance you are using a magazine extension tube you need more spring pressure and make sure the spring/follower is not hanging up on the junction of the factory tube and extension. Look up “shell surge” ...the situation where the shell in the magazine tube move forward under recoil. If this is happening the bolt may also lock back with shells still in the mag tube. Other than this I don't have anything more for you. You may need to get your SBE3 to a gunsmith familiar with the Benelli action.
  10. When the hammer falls (whether firing the gun with live ammo, or dry firing on an empty chamber) does a shell exit the magazine tube? One more thing...and you probably know this but some don't.... the Benelli will NOT let a shell out of the magazine tube by just be opening the bolt. The cartridge drop has to be activated which only happen when the hammer falls or you manually active the lever.
  11. With the bolt closed on an empty chamber and shells in the magazine tube will a shell exit the magazine tube when you active the cartridge drop lever (tab on the side of the trigger group)? When you cleaned it did you also clean the inside of the magazine tube and the follower?
  12. Normal. The “skirt” of the choke tube is beveled or funneled to make sure the projectile does not hang on the choke tube and shoot it out of the muzzle.
  13. Start with taking the trigger group out of the receiver and check to see if the hammer is staying cocked, the disconnector is functioning properly, and the cartridge drop lever is rotating on the hammer pin correctly and has spring pressure to return to its down position when the hammer is cocked.
  14. When letting the bolt go forward in these examples are you letting the bolt fly forward under is spring pressure, not holding it or touching the operating handle in any way? (Sounds like you are operating the SBE3 correctly, but still worth asking just in case)
  15. One of 2 things: The screw may have been loctited and will require some heat to loosen. Use a solder iron, or nail heated red hot and held with vice grips, to warm the screw which will soften the Loctite. (this is the most likely scenario) If the bolt release stud has broken loose from the latch and is turning/spinning when your try to turn the screw you will need to get some thin long nose pliers between the button and side of the receiver to hold hold the stud while you unscrew it (and then plan to replace the shell latch)
  16. Sorry, we do not have a M1 here at the moment. Center the hole vertically between the barrel and magazine tube and at a front/rear position that approximates the location on that M2 in your picture. Use a file or dremel tool to remove just enough material to let the nut to fit into the forearm We install the Matchsaverz on all the popular 3 Gun shotguns for our clients quite often. Get'em in, get'em out.
  17. I've installed several. Remove enough material inside the forearm to allow the screw's nut to fit inside and clear the barrel and mag tube.
  18. Will the SBE2 barrel not fit the SBE if ALSO using the SBE 2 forearm? OR modifying the original forearm?
  19. from akk7axh Can a moderator lock this out? Maybe 1 1/4oz of #5 will work.
  20. The stock is hollow isn't it? If you can drill a 1/2" hole in the side of the stock you can put one of these Noveske QD sockets in to the side of the stock
  21. Is the 2nd shell exiting the magazine tube? Is the bolt staying open, or closing on an empty chamber? Are the shell you are using the Winchester Universal or similar Winchester promotional ammo?
  22. IIRC you have to manually open the bolt to load the chamber (before or after you load the tube). The bolt does not lock back with shells in the tube. More info https://forums.benelliusa.com/topic/16878-m1-121-info-share/
  23. More stock drop equates to a lower POI relative to your eye. The higher the number on the shim (50,55,60,65) set up the more drop in the stock (ie the butt of the stock moves lower on the gun). Changing the shims does not really change where the guns shoots. What it does accomplish is change where you naturally point the gun when you shoulder it.
