  1. Whoops, I have a correction. On my Benelli M4 I run the Aimpoint T2 with the OEM quick release mount right on the picatinny rail. (AR pistol uses the 1.53 mount) With a shotgun or rifle cheek weld you should not have any issues finding the T2 dot or field of view. Both eyes are open and the dot looks like it is floating on the target. Rasyad
  2. I run an Aimpoint T2 on a 1.53 Scallarworks mount and am really happy with the compact size and easy control of the dot brightness. Rasyad
  3. Yep, all good observations, well said. I stippled my OEM handguards and can't imagine better ergonomics. Also agree that an optimal weapon light mount solution has yet to surface, at least for my purpose. Rasyad
  4. I seem to recall that someone made an adaptor and got the system to work. Does anyone have a link or clue where I might have seen this project? Thanks, Rasyad
  5. This was a long time ago and happened with the first generation A&S trigger guard. I did the assembly. I later put the Trigger Guard on my Bridgeport mill to add something like 0.020" clearance to the channel for perfect function. I later sold that gen 1 trigger guard cheap (with full disclosure) as I wanted a newer, second generation A&S trigger guard that was factory coated internally with the deeper black color. The second generation trigger guard was dimensionally perfect. Nowadays one can buy the A&S trigger guard and Briley trigger as a package from Briley. Be Well, Rasyad
  6. +1 for the Briley match trigger and A&S housing. It is only "match grade" compared to the OEM trigger. Nowhere near the smooth precision of the Triggertech Diamond in my LMT. Rasyad

  8. System is Sold and Shipped to Blinks711. Super easy transaction, buyer is GTG. Thanks, Rasyad
  9. Thanks Robb, I just ordered one of your current stock. Be Well, Rasyad
  10. I will be up for a black one when they become available. Can you explain your locking handle design? Does this require a tool? On the tolerance issue with Cerakote.... are you talking about the sharpness of the knurling or the shaft that interacts with the bolt? I don't see an issue leaving the shaft bare and just coating the knurling part. Rasyad
  11. PRICE DROP.........$480 for everything......shipped. Thanks Rasyad
  12. HERE is a link to my original build thread. Rasyad
  13. That is a Cerakoted Carrier Comp tube with a 1.006" OD so I am pretty sure it is a 1" ring. Here are some additional images. I am open to offers Thanks, Rasyad
  14. System includes.... 8" Briley 3Gun M-LOK Handguard with custom direct mount Cloud Defense LCS Surefire UEo7 tailcap and pressure pad Modlite PLHv2 - 18650, will include single battery. Haley Strategic light ring / IWC light bar assembly I had fun building this system as I have a Bridgeport mill and know how to use it. However, I found that the Briley Handguard is a little to big for my hands and I am going back to the OEM handguards. The system parts came to $780 not including shipping or tax. Probably only about 50 rounds and has been sitting in the safe. All components are like new. I would like to get $560 for everything, free domestic shipping via USPS Priority, insured. Please check out my original build thread for details. Thanks, Rasyad
  15. There are a variety of mag tube attachments that add a section of pic rail. Rasyad
  16. I finally got around to finishing my M4 project. The Briley hand guard and Modlite were the last bits. To get the Modlite mounted for optimized illumination I used a modified IWC TMC 1" LIGHT MOUNT-N-SLOT sort of backwards from its original intent. For the switch I could have simply used the supplied sticky Velcro but whats the fun in that. Instead I took a Cloud Defensive LCS over to the Bridgeport and milled off the mloc bosses on the bottom and the mount wing on the open end and then drilled and countersunk for the new fastener. Of course the direct mount to the Briley hand guard required mount holes and fabrication and press fit of a couple brass "T" nut inserts. Note, the clearance is really tight between the M4 pistons and the inside of the hand guard which meant the insert flange could be no more than about 0.060" thick. As most will realize, barrel disassembly now requires an Alan key to loosen the ring mount so the light can slip off the end of the magazine tube, followed by the barrel assembly and hand guard. In practice, this extra disassembly step is made even easier as the switch also slides out the end of the LCS freeing the light, ring mount and switch as an intact unit. For my hands the switch is perfectly positioned for both grip and thumb activation. Of course, performance of the forward mounted Modlite is shadow free and effective for movement and PID. As expected the Aimpoint T2 provides a clear aiming solutions in all lighting conditions. Rasyad
  17. Thanks for the heads up. I agree the split buck makes a ton of sense. I really like the the idea of limiting over penetration. I am a big fan of Federal's Flight Control slugs and OO buck. Rasyad
  18. Thanks Steve. I have to disassemble the trigger group again for more machining to increase side-to-side clearance for the Briley hammer. Once I have the correct clearance I will give A &S a call to see how their new parts measure. Then make a decision on color, buy an new one, re-coat, sell this one.... Rasyad
  19. Good cheek weld, no, not like lying prone on a precision rifle. It is more of a heads up, side of lthe chin, lip, tip of the nose affair. I believe it will be very workable but I don't have any range time on it yet. Will report back with a range report. Rasyad
  20. From an aesthetic perspective I totally agree having a bunch of junk high above the bore on a shotgun looks goofy. The top heavy look is made worse by my experiment with the rear mounted laser in that I had to use all the Shield spacers to make it work. I like the general illumination of the UTG Laser and may mount it on a 45 degree offset if it holds up to the recoil. Tuning the optics will be the easy part of this project. The way it is set up the grove down the center of the picatinny rail serves as perfectly adequate short range sight with the optics removed. My other long gun is a LM308MWS with a Minox TAC8 scope. One of my goals is to have both weapons feel the same when I have them mounted in a squared off standing position. None of the comercially available stock options allowed this with the exceeption of the OEM c-stock and the ATI. The OEM c-stock failed for me as the design focuses the bending moment on the threads of the small buffer tube. The ATI is a much stronger, stiffer system, and lighter too when configured as a fixed stock like I have here. Copy that on the A&S, I got the email, just don't know what I want to do about it. Thanks, Rasyad
