  1. Hi Steve, Okay, will start a new thread... Rasyad
  2. No applogies needed, I live in California. That said, I use the OEM telescoping stock. I modified the button so I can lock it in any of the positions, making the stock fixed and legal for California and easily restored to full functionality elsewhere. I can post up pictures if there is any interest. Rasyad

  4. Great idea, one could of course take an OEM charging handle and cast a blob of JB Weld on the end then turn on a lathe for any shape desired, just saying, pretty easy prototype to test out various shapes. Rasyad
  5. Congradulations on your new shotgun, great deal and nice shooting! Rasyad
  6. Just ordered one. I am assuuming the Briley trigger will install without issue. I also asked if they had plans to offer TI versions for the totally obsessed among us...... I am also planning to order a TTI lifter if folks feel that is the best option. Rasyad
  7. Wow, nice upgrade. Rasyad
  8. Okay Steve, now you are not helping........ I have a lathe, maybe I should get to work. Rasyad
  9. Welcome to the forum. I am also new here and have only had my M4 to the range a couple times. I am really looking forward to taking a trip to give it (and me) some serious practice. Rasyad
  10. Briley has a match trigger I recently had installed. Briley requires you send them your trigger group so they can do the instalation. Usual turn around is 2 weeks, I got mine back in one. I could not be happier with the customer service or trigger performance. I have not measured the trigger but it is light (in the 3.5-4lb range), super crisp, has minimal take up or over travel, and has a super solid, bounce free reset. The cost is $270 plus shipping which is inline with other top drawer match triggers. I am not a super marksman by any stretch, just an enthusiastic guy learning about guns. That said, at shot show this year I made a point of testing every trigger I could get my finger on and ended up buying the ELF trigger for my new to me LMT308MWS. I bring this up because the Elf trigger, also a single stage, was only tied in feel by some of the 1.5lb bench rest triggers and seemed to me a step above the other AR style drop in triggers. With that as background I would rate the Briley match trigger on par with any of the top tier single stage AR triggers like the Timely or Geissele. I hope this was useful. Rasyad
  11. Yep, quite pleased by the outcome, no more chuncks of steel confusing the sight picture. Thanks, Rasyad
  12. I used an oxy-acetylene torch to de-braze my M4 front sight. At first I thought I would be able to apply the heat to the top of the sight and watch the color change as it raidiated to toward the barrel. However, as you can see, the torch blew through the softer steel of the sight. Once I redirected the torch to the top of the base of the sight it went red and came right off. It only took about 10 seconds and the barrel did not seem to get very hot. I then used a fine file to remove the bits of Braze Welding material from the barrel and sanded smooth with 600 grit and 2000 grit paper. My plan is to cerakote once I decide on a color. Rasyad
  13. Briley makes a Match Trigger for the M4. Here is a link. http://www.briley.com/c-805-benelli-match-triggers.aspx Briley has you send them your trigger group and they do the instalation. I got mine back in about a week and could not be more pleased with the performance. Lignt and super crisp with a very positive, low travel reset. Rasyad
