  1. Let us know how it works out, post pictures. I just clean and lube after every range day, gun is clean and gaul free!
  2. Diddo on that, clean, clean, clean, inspect, inspect, inspect, lube, lube, lube before any rounds go down the tube here! If it was mine and I had spent that kinda money, it would be on it's way back to Benelli PERIOD! Luckly mine was the aces. The things you find during the first cleaning would amaze you!!!
  3. Kinda like driving drunk, you won't get in trouble until your caught or kill someone.
  4. Thanks everyone for clearing this on going question! FYI Amazon carries all the needed parts.
  5. I like these way better than the snap ring!
  6. I wonder what spec's he would be following to design the trigger, middle range of tolerances? Will it require a gunsmith to install? I'll stick with a curved trigger in my M4, provides a consistent finger location for me.
  7. The cheese grater along with my standard no pistol grip stock gets me into the trap range that requires a minimum barrel size of 20". Drives some of them nuts there, probably ban black shotguns next! Must be an imaginary problem then, I can't wait to hear the problems he has with the 14"
  8. Putting this nonsense to rest! Benelli M4 18.5" Barrel, Full length Benelli Magazine, Aimpoint Micro T-2, Etekcity Lasergrip 774, 50 feet, 20" x 24" Target. 14 shots, Temperature measurement points Barrel rear hanger, front hanger - Magazine same temperature within 1 degree anywhere on magazine. I'm sure I could tighten things up with a 14" barrel, shorter is better, HaHaHa I can hear the haters now, I lucked out on my FCG, now I lucked out on my magazine, I just plain lucked out on my M4! Now go out and shoot! I think my Benelli Telescoping Stock is having an effect on my groupings being pinned at it's full extension, anyone having this problem, HaHaHa
  9. By the very fact that something is hanging off of the M4 barrel (Magazine Tube, Forward Stock) and it is not free floating throws all these theories out the window! Every time you bench rest or hold the M4 while shooting you are potentially changing the MOA. The M4 is one BadAss shotgun, accurate as He11 but it is not a precision rifle PERIOD!
  10. Mine don't https://www.facebook.com/StarHelicopters/
  11. Hallelujah - Trying to excuse an MOA shift on the magazine tube WTF? The M4 is a tactical shotgun it is not a race car as has been alluded to numerous times here! Go tune your cars and shoot your guns.
  12. Drives me nuts as well, that's one of the few parts I won't change out, along with a FFT magazine that is not the right color!
  13. I don't know that luck had anything to do with it. When someone manufactures a 1000 guns a day, there will always be a lemon or 2 with even the best manufactures, thats just the rules of production. The odds not luck will always be in my favor that I will end up with a diamond. There is no noticeable difference between the two (I don't have caliper hands so I'm only guessing). They don't have Cabellas out here in Cali, so I couldn't cycle 6 to compare. I ordered sight unseen from EuroOptic with a nice discount. Built a second trigger group with what I thought was the best parts I could find to comply with 922r without settling for Sh!t parts, while the gun was in jail. Then I plugged and played and it all works like it's supposed to, I couldn't be happier with my M4!
  14. Silly people, of course when you order a replacement trigger, hammer and disconnector from Benelli your going to need a gunsmith to install them for the desired results, to get them ready for the race! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! They are made by a computer, to the highest tolerances, they are the same! Benelli has taken out the human factor in it's manufacturing process. Keep your Benelli FCG it's good to go for 25 thousand rounds and probably a **** of a lot more than that!
  15. Does that mean Carrier Comp is back in the charging handle business?
  16. The picture was taken before the safety was installed. They were tested completely assembled as described above. I have only provided input to the original thread question by Jolly Roger regarding the M4's FCG's behavior. I am not a salesperson for the G&S or any of the other parts I have used. I am not trying to convince anyone to get my setup. I could care less, if they put their logo on the bottom of the trigger housing, the only person that's going to see it is the dead guy laying on the ground. The unit is solid and I have no doubts about it's reliability.
  17. i find this hard to believe, other than what does "in some cases" mean, factory workers final assemble the shotguns with the exception of the Vinci shotgun, the manufacturing of which - from processing of raw materials to final packaging is entirely automated. Anyone who has seen the Benelli computerized factory knows that they have as little human hands on as possible. Take a look... https://youtu.be/XCj0PCGGxtA "Computer-driven robots can make gun parts to much more demanding tolerances than anyone can do by hand," explained Gian Luigi Boninella, plant manager at Benelli. His factory can produce 700 auto-loading shotguns per day- about 600 more than a factory full of hand craftsman could do. And they will be tighter-fitting and more blemish-free than anything produced by hand, Boninella claimed, because the element of human error has been removed. https://www.fieldandstream.com/photos/gallery/hunting/2009/10/inside-benelli-shotgun-plant-urbino-italy#page-6 http://gunsforsale.com/manufacturer/benelli-firearms
  18. I have my original trigger group and I have the A&S trigger group with the FFT trigger parts, Wolfe springs, TTI Extended carrier that I built with all original Benelli parts except for those and the safety. There is no noticeable difference in how they feel during cocking, cycling or firing. The trigger pull on the A&S is about 1/2 pound less than factory stock and I would attribute that to the springs. PS when I sanded down one of the flats a couple of thousandths on the safety it had nothing to do with the performance of the safety at all. It would have been no different if I had sand a little of the finish off of the A&S trigger guard on the outside bottom.
  19. The one problem, I did encounter with the A&S guard was installing a S&J Jumbo Safety Selector. I had to sand down one of the flats to allow the safety to be pushed all the way in, it would only push half way due to rubbing against the trigger guard. If i put the Safety selector in from the left side it worked without any resistance. Other that that I have had no problems with the guard. Another FYI
  20. In addition to truck cop's post, the amount each click will move the POI has to do with the scope, probably in the manual. My Aimpoint Micro T-2 has a target you can download and it tells you how much each click moves the POI based on the target distance.
  21. That is correct, with hammer forward, uncocked, and safety on cocking the hammer has no resistance. The same when cocking with safety off, there is NO RESISTANCE either way. I just went and double checked my M4.
  22. My A&S with FFT trigger parts does mot have this problem with the safety on or off, cycles (Cocks) smooth as butter. FYI
