  1. I have 3 of M4's and 2 of them will not cycle Fiocchi loads. Same symptoms as yours. Oddly, they all function with target loads from any of the other larger manufacturers.
  2. That's a bummer! I swear, there is no rhyme or reason for the hoops that the ATF makes people jump through.
  3. So these won't count towards 922R since they aren't made in the USA?
  4. I wish I could find the old thread, but the general consensus was as you stated. This is all from memory so it isn't word for word, but basically since most aftermarket forearms are aluminum or use bushings that don't compress, they have no give when tightening down the barrel. If specs aren't exact then it could potentially cause pressure on the barrel lug during the recoil cycle.
  5. I seem to recall this happening at least once before a few years ago, with Benelli claiming it was due to the use of aftermarket forends. It's the main reason I have always chosen to use other parts to reach 922R compliance.
  6. It's likely just where they soldered the front sight base onto the barrel before the phosphate finish.
  7. I have 3, and I know others here have even more. Trust us when we say YOU NEED ANOTHER ONE! LOL!!!!!
  8. I guess it doesn't hurt, but I've ran the Benelli rail/ADM combo through thousands of rounds with no shift whatsoever. I can certainly understand if using a Larue or other type mount that simply uses a partial lug, but with the ADM crossbar switching rails is overkill in my opinion.
  9. I subscribe to the same theory and run my M4's the same way except I use the factory rail.
  10. If you go with the ADM mount you'll be fine with the factory Benelli rail since the ADM has a full cross bar lug.
  11. Goodness, I just looked at the link thinking I'd go ahead and pick one up. Am I confusing this with something else or did the price skyrocket? Regardless, nice bit of kit to have.
  12. The Fiochi will not cycle in 2 out of 3 of my M4's. All 3 were "broken in" with 250 rounds of Remington Sluggers, yet the two simply hate Fiochi. Oddly, they will cycle most target loads so I personally believe the Fiochi is under powered. Bummer too because I can find it on a pretty regular basis locally.
  13. No Longer For Sale Alright folks, I've had three "I'll take it" inquiries and all of them have bailed for one reason or another, so I'm going to go ahead and pull this off the market. No offense to the fine folks of this forum, it just seems that some of the brand new members don't understand what "I'll take it" actually means.
  14. AND BACK UP FOR SALE. THIS IS THE COLLAPSIBLE STOCK AND PISTOL GRIP ONLY. IT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE 3 POSITION TUBE. PLEASE DO NOT SAY "I"LL TAKE IT" UNLESS YOU ARE SURE YOU WANT IT BECAUSE THIS HAS ALREADY COST ME TWO POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS.
  15. Ended up with an extra collapsible stock so I thought I'd offer it up if someone is looking. Includes factory Benelli box. Yes, it's expensive, yes, it's more than they used to be, but I'm only asking for what I have in it and not a penny more. $700.00 shipped within the lower 48. Payment by USPS MO only. No PayPal or other electronic payments (I'm old and don't understand or trust them, sorry).
  16. The cerakote doesn't seem to hold up well based on the ones I've seen in real life. On the bright side it appears they have some sort of protection underneath since they all appeared black in the areas missing the cerakote.
  17. Good grief their machining has really gone to crap! That whole barrel extension looks rough.
  18. Has anybody experienced thermal cracking of the anodizing on the rear of the receiver when doing this procedure. Anodizing has been known to micro fracture due to heating variances between the base metal and the anodizing itself. What about discoloration to the receiver or tube itself? I've seen discoloration from using a torch, but what about a heat gun?
  19. The ring on all 3 of mine appears to be cast steel. Guess it's time for a magnet check.
  20. That seems like an odd explanation since the flange of the barrel being supported by the receiver should prevent the "slide hammer" effect.
  21. You should send that thing back my friend. It isn't suppose to have that gap and you shouldn't have to live with it.
