  1. I am curious what the hottest load you could use with the Taran spring.
  2. I bought the $40 spring kit and installed everything. Not sure if I really needed the reduced power recoil spring, but went ahead and installed it anyways. It was more peace of mind that I set it up properly for the application.
  3. I just put my order in for the DG parkerized tube.
  4. I think they are just talking the barrel mating with receiver. But, won't click if you are gentle.
  5. Hey Juliett, wanted to mention I have found a lot of oil in the mag tube from the factory. Would be worthwhile to get in there and clean that out.
  6. Dumb question, I am sure someone knows this. Does Benelli make a M4 mag tube spring specifically for the 5 round setup or is it the same spring as the LE 7 round version. Reason to ask is seems like M4 takes a little more force to load rounds than the M2.
  7. These are extra parts. Would like to trade the 18.5in ghost ring barrel for somethinh works better on a field M2. So 21in or 24in field barrel works. I would also consider a 18.5in barrel with rifle sights. Otherwise would sell for $450. I also have a rear ghost ring sight. Would sell for $100. Thanks!
  8. I yield to Evolution and Birdog19 on 922r wisdom.
  9. Hey, I only press the issue to understand and hear everyone's view. Sorry Skybaze, and thanks to those that respond. Hopefully keeping this at the top results in someone offering up a rifle stock to Skyblaze.
  10. Features which are not recognized as sporting include, but are not limited to, folding or telescoping stocks, pistol grips that protrude conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon, a bayonet or bayonet mount, a flash suppressor or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor, a grenade launcher and night sights. ---- Mag tube is not in the above sentence. Is the M4 specifically an exception to this criteria? It's not an imported surplus arm and not a machine gun. Are you sort of saying that we should be cautious because the ATF has the power to decide whatever they want?
  11. Correct me if I am wrong, but replacing the pistol grip stock with a standard rifle stock would eliminate the last non sporting feature, assuming the OP doesn't have a flash hider of course.
  12. Standard stock means no 922r costs for me.
  13. The reason I didn't get a Super Black Eagle is the lack of shorter barrel options.
  14. M4 has popped up, but sells out in minutes or hours. Haven't seen M2 except for field models. Been watching for about 3 months now. It's sort of an internet hunt game.
  15. I got one for sale, comes with spring. Sent you a PM.
  16. Great post, really cool evolution from field to tactical! Question, how sturdy is that rail? I was thinking about tapping a field M2 but I noticed that the top of the receiver thins out as you get to where the barrel meets the receiver. How did that go?
  17. On the Benelli website, there is no mention of the 11701 being limited. Since I just started looking at these a couple months ago, I didn't understand the history. But, couple guys on calguns listed there 2020 M1014's as limited for $4k. So, I was actually confused by this ambition.
  18. I am curious how many are out there. Do you think Benelli would tell us? Someday, the original 2500 might have some intrinsic value. But, I would think the current unlimited limited edition is just cool to have and not really a collectors item.
  19. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/05/15/benelli-release-limited-edition-m1014-shotguns/amp/ Just curious if anybody has a feel for how limited the M1014 civilian model really is after 3 years of production. Is there some set production limit or is it going to be self limiting when people lose interest? The stock is nice and more versatile, but the price is not much higher. So, it didn't really strike me as a real collector item. But, what do I know.
  20. And btw, it was not marked ready for pickup. Not sure if they would have done that eventually or they missed it. Perhaps they wanted me to give up on it so they could buy it themselves!
  21. Did the DROS today, reciever was stamped with a 20 and last two digits in serial were 20. Does that indicate a 2020 production?
  22. I picked up a new M2 field and there was quite a bit of heavy oil in the magtube. Glad I broke it down and cleaned it first. Not sure if that would cause issues, but now I know it wont.
  23. In California, the issue is actually the collapsible stock plus a pistol grip. So, I see the rifle stock as an advantage. It's not banned and there is no 922r issue. It might be the only Benelli that won't require any upgrades to have a 7 round mag tube.
  24. Thanks everyone for your feedback.
