You gotta keep in the mind the M3 has been around for more than 3 decades. What didn't apply to you is definitely applicable to the older M3s. A super old H&K I had to service had different plastic than a newer one I had. Melted fairly quick because I had to blast more heat on it remove 25+ year old thread locker. Basically I use a blanket statement when I talk about the M3 because there hasn't be a good way to identify the numerous variants of the M3. Sorta like how the M4 and M1014 get confused with naming. Or a Cerakote and H2O version.

I usually use the magazine springs that are included with the kits. Otherwise just estimate about 1 foot/300mm longer than the magazine tube. I have a mix mash of brands from Remington, Wolff, Benelli, and Beretta springs in my guns. I honestly couldn't you tell the difference apart from Wolff is shiny.

The holes are the same on all the benelli shotguns, including the hunting models. The only one that is different is the M1014. It has an extra hole (5 holes) for strength but a regular rail (4 holes) can fit on the M1014.

Just buy the plastic stock from the M1 or M3 Super 90 and install the hardware and sling mount afterwards. Way easier than taking apart one assembled for the M4.

There are many variants of the stock. Some fit on 1301s, some fit on M1014s, 870s etc., but they all look the same at a glance. I'm guessing you bought the wrong one. That gap is basically the difference between a steel collapsible buffer tube and one with a aluminum buffer tube. Otherwise looks like you found a work around.

I like a heavier gun as well; but I'm not carrying it around it all day long. Easier to swing and point on a lighter gun to be honest.

A small batch was shipped out in the tail end of December. I have 2 on order with no updates. Got the mounts already in.

If you look closely, you can see the body isn't machined much. So most likely, it is forged, then the mount surface and holes are machined and threaded, and then tumbled/laser etched/anodized/assembled. Whereas the other optics are completely machined. So reviews from the big youtubers will probably be uploaded soon. Wait and see if it will be a hit or flop like the ACRO P-1.

So LE discount is 449$ for the Duty RDS ?. Battery life is underwhelming but the trade off is the lower price. Think of how many batteries you would need to offset the difference in price to a T-2.

Not necessarily, I can see it getting shipped quicker since we now have an American made alternative. A few months back there was a huge amount of shotguns on sale, so everybody was clamoring for accessories and stuff. Just report back in a few days see if it gets shipped?
