  1. Nope those aren't it. The threads go all the way to the top.
  2. I has been reported a shipping label means nothing. it can still take a while to ship out.
  3. Midwest had them in stock like two months ago. If you don’t care about the colour, you can use one from an M1 or M3. Same exact aluminium casting, different colour finish on it. A&S is also very nice option. If you dont mind the older H&K trigger guard you order it on midwest for 70$ but it will be black.
  4. It is staked in place. Easiest route is just to just buy the pin and block. If you remove the pin it will basically be worthless if you sell it. https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/70066
  5. Easy to just get a new barrel with the new choke tube instead of chasing down something that hasn't been made in what 40 years. There's one on Gunbroker right now for 350$.
  6. https://www.shotgunworld.com/threads/unidentified-choke-tube.391968/ SL80 chokes. The question pops up once every few years.

    M3 question

They never stopped making them. I know the M1 Super 90 was resurrected briefly for 2019 in a hunting/field configuration.
  8. haha i love your youtube avatar with the chiggen.
  9. So what are the first impressions on the 6 position? I noticed they forwent the rings around the tubes that help you see where the stock stops and instead opted to use the notch itself.
  10. I am super shocked Fastenal had it. They have a terrible reputation in my area. I am more of a mcmaster-carr person?
  11. Here's the dimensions for the original flexible retaining ring: I did briefly investigate a sourcing for aftermarket replacement but it appears it doesn't conform to any ANSI or DIN specifications. So chances of finding this off the shelf is slim. I did also look at either making my own out of spring steel with an angled cut (purple ring) to aid in removal or take an original ring to the grinder. Basically stick a pick tool in the corner and pry it off like shaft snap ring.
  12. Yeah I will run another small batch after the holidays. I was honestly surprised to see so many people ordered it; the first run I was expecting barely anybody to buy it and to last me for the year.
  13. All the clamps are going to wear on the barrel. A good way to keep the barrel finish minty is to put high temperature electrical tape where it clamps. I run my M3s with the full length steel magazine tubes without clamps.
  14. 7th page of the benelli m4 picture thread has said picture posted by unobtainium
  15. Hmmm this thread just reminded me to ask CC about my August order. I get its the holidays and stuff so I don't mind it being late.
  16. M3 action is much more open. It can quickly run sluggish if sand gets on the recoil spring. M4 is better sealed in this aspect - of course dirt can get in the ejection port or loading port on both. The 1301 came from the Tx4, which came from the A400 series. So basically a sporting gun turned tactical. The M1014 was solely made to go to war. M3 was more for police units.
  17. I think the recoil spring being up front like my M3 has something to do with it. My M3s across the board are all little more wobbly than the M4. The trade off is that you can actually fully strip the M3 down in the field. The Gen 2 1301 I have is actually pretty smooth. Also before the 1301 came along, there was the TX4 Storm. It was like 1600$ MSRP whereas the Gen One 1301 was like 1050$ with a street price like 900$. They did a ton of cost cutting like plastic rails and plastic rear sight. The 1301 is way better at 1000$ than the TX4 Storm was at 1600$. The 1301 of today is really hard to beat. I see the trend more people leaning towards Turkish M4s or the 1301 lately. Its basically ready to go out of the box with stuff Benelli M4 owners usually add on immediately after purchase (big charging handle, bolt release, flat lifter, wider loading port).

    M4 Picture Thread

I’m aware. I think I saw that rail prototype on arfcom like 5 years ago. Truly unobtainium and visually interesting. Interesting to see Spuhr still doing R&D on the M4.

Spuhr needs to sell those rails already.?

    M3 question

My very first gun was a M3 Super 90 that I got on arfcom a decade ago, now I have six of them?. They are totally cool, underrated shotguns. They are one of the oldest shotguns Benelli makes and I hope they never stop making them like the AR15.
