A subtle update to the long standing M3 finally makes it way over here. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/910433587 Basically the changes: detachable stock QD sling mount larger charging handle phosphate bolt carrier bottom rail Could this entail the coming of the M4-A1? ?

have you tried FFT directly? send them an email about it?
-
yes. this is normal on supernova or nova.
-
I did this a few years ago on my M4. You must change out the recoil system to an M1. There is no off-the-shelf forend so I kept the plastic.
-
There's a full auto Benelli M3 that was prototyped. Beretta M3P is also cool and unusual. Surprisingly there a large number of these in Japan. Benelli took over manufacturing for the SPAS-15 funny enough and updated it a few ago. There are also a few Turkish M3 clones, they aren't noteworthy enough for me to name them.

I have been studying the the bolt carriers for a while and my input it that it looks like it was dropped on a sharp edge (from another bolt carrier?) after machining. That spot is cut after forging, then the corner is chamfered so there should never be any marks like that. It won't affect anything, but I am surprised Wright Armories didn't catch this.?

At one point I had every single tactical shotgun along with an SBE2. I got bored and started mixing and matching different parts and end up with that franken gun. I can give you a good idea of what can interchange and what can't. Basically: M4 entire front end M4 bolt Assembly M2 Receiver M2 Trigger Group Wolff Extra high power hammer spring (this is very important!) M3/Supernova Comfortech Stock (P/N 61176) Thin charging handle (a regular M4 handle would not work) All that together you got what I have. There's really nothing from stopping you putting on a comfortech stock to a regular M4; consequently if one was to do so the edges of the grip would not line up. You would also need a M2 trigger guard on the M4 receiver. The few friends who have shot my franken gun like it better than the regular M4. It is lighter but the weight is shifted more upfront because of the aluminium Raffaello recoil system I put in it. I had the 5-position plastic stock on it a while ago. The check riser works well with the SRO.
-
I like them all. But definitely my frankenstein M4 with the comfortech stock. Trijicon SRO, and Raffaello recoil system is softer shooting than my M3.

They have been readily available for around 250$. You do need to make certain the pistol grip is correct for whichever gun you plan to install it on.

huh, I didn't know starter punches were a thing! Thanks Benelliwerkes Here is the link in case anybody in the future searches for it: https://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/general-gunsmith-tools/punches/starter-punch-set-prod549.aspx

Thank you for the excellent, detailed information. Did you use a small nail to knock out the roll pin? I managed to remove the roll pin at the suffering of my poor punch

Wow it is actually sold out already. He must have had only 1 or 2.? Everything he sells is SUPER INFLATED. Just grab any popular part number and plug it into Midwest Gun works and you’ll will find most of the stuff he sells is 2X the price sometimes even greater. I just found out today that the exact 5.5mm wrench he sells for 25$+tax+13$ shipping is on amazon for like 8$? He doesn’t take refunds or exchanges either.

So I am making another one of those muzzle things from the prior post and forgot I archived the source picture a long time ago. From Shot Show 2013, this is the first time Benelli debuted the M3 SBS in the USA with the special "kompensator" muzzle device. These are pure unobtainium and discontinued. Only fits M3, Nova, and Supernova barrel profiles. I assume the one pictured is the only one ever imported to the USA. BOPE's ( Rio de Janeiro Police) order of the M3. Note the insignia above the receiver. PCCE's (civil police) shipment of M3-A1 on display.
-
Oh wow! That is the same one Freedom Fighter Tactical sells for 4X the mark up + 13$ shipping!?
-
@benelliwerkes and @StrangerDanger what are your tips? Having a lil' difficulty getting one out. Last resort for me would be to drill it out on the mill.
-
Supernova and Super Black Eagle 2 for certain. Some M3s can interchange you just have to look at the stock and compare. If the stock looks the same there is a 99% it will fit you can't miss it. There are people putting incorrect stocks on the wrong receivers anyways. Not everything will line up but it can be "installed".

Crio choke tube set, new - 100$ H&K aluminum muzzle brake, small ding on edge - 100$ Royal Arms used blued steel muzzle brake used, carbon fouling on edges- 140$ Benelli Thread choke tube, carbon fouling on outside - 100$

Honestly I have no idea. It comes from Benelli USA like this and I believe they never sold replacement barrels. I read a majority went to police departments. Never heard of anybody finding out how they fixed it on.
-
I'll start off with a cool and forgotten M1 Super 90 entry: picture from arfcom These are NON-NFA shotguns with the swiss cheese muzzle permanently fixed on to meet the 18" requirements. You will see 14" M4s dime a dozen, but these are exceedingly rare now especially since the M1 Super 90 has been discontinued for a while. They always had rifle sights.
-
Like I said, it sounds like you have the removeable version. I'm not 100% sure if that is the case, but its either that or you have the tube that is spaced out a little more. I have a Supernova from 2013 and a M3 from 2019 with this collapsible stock and it stores away fully. They can't remove the tube completely like shown above.
