looks great! what is the LOP on that stock? I’m not seeing on website.
-
ya i looked up that vara thing after posting and was about to consider getting one then i saw that it has a biometic locking mechanism and then i was out. hope it works for u. let us know.
-
yes. i cut out a small square section to accommodate the pin. i’ll admit thats its not the prettiest bit it doesn’t bother me as its not visible with the card attached.
-
can’t help u with the dimensions of the briley handguard as i run oem handguards but i would think that having the charging handle installed (regardless of brand) would be your wide point especially if u run a light/side saddle on the opposite side as i do.
-
im really interested in this BPG rail wrap. looks like theres different sizes/versions. CEBEP which size did u get?
-
mine came with glow-in-the-dark white sights. purchased it late 2020. edit. mine is not a model 1014 btw.
-
can u post a pic (or send as pm)? the pics on that website are kinda minimal. thanks
-
i don’t believe so. he does have a waiting list on his website that will email u when its ready.
-
retaining band? can u post a pic of what u mean?
-
i agree with rez. if u wanna try the oem pistol grip stock, im sure many here would be willing to sell u their take off. i got one somewhere i would sell if u want.

I would imagine u can’t go wrong with either pick. I have heard great things about each. That being said I own an M4. Largely because of the reputation it has with the USMC, it became my dream gun. Truth be told, I was unaware of the 1301 when I got mine a few years ago. Otherwise, I think I would’ve had a much a harder decision. What really helped me make the leap was a thread on arfcom written by the manager/owner/whomever of a shooting range in Las Vegas regarding the sturdiness and reliability of the M4. I believe the name of the range is Battlefield Las Vegas. They cater to a lot of tourists because they rent machine guns. He wrote a lengthy thread describing the parts breaking in even the most reliable of guns like the Rem 870 and Mossberg 500 guns. He had raving review of the Benelli M4/M1014 and that even after 10s of thousands of rounds it never broke a single part and was never not available for rent due to repair. Now this was a thread from many years ago, quite possibly before the 1301 came to market, let alone the A300 ultimate patrol. I’m sure if u did a search u will find the thread. It definitely helped me get over the cost of the M4. Love mine, even after putting another 1k into it to make it how I wanted it. With all that said, I will likely own Beretta 1301 and possibly the A300 Ultimate Patrol eventually. Good luck with whatever u choose.

i went with a&s housing because i liked the look but mostly because the oem Al trigger groups were hard to come by and expensive since they were discontinued. ymmv. but ya the swapping of parts was fairly simple. i used the exact video posted above to help me out. i only remember using a punch and a roll of tape in lieu if an ar block. dibs. email sent requesting pics

looks good. im in the same boat with having mine where i want it to be. if i didn’t live in california i would try harder to find the oem collapsible stock at reasonable price, but im happy with the urbino for now btw its called a match saver iirc.
-
i agree. i would try this before sending it out to the manufacturer.

found the link: https://www.mountsplus.com/iwc-benelli-m4-light-mount-for-scout-compatible-lights.html
-
Damn for that price I’m sure someone will jump on it really soon. I thought I was content with having a Mesa urbino since I’m in California and the adjustment doesn’t do me any good but I must say I’m thinkin about it.
-
Do a search of this sub forum. I remember another user posting a link to a company, not IWC, that had them in stock.
-
i would definitely be interested in a shorter lop as well if priced reasonably. keep us posted. thanks.

I run my tactical sling on my my M4 as m2_shooter described, thus only run a Velcro side saddle on the left side of the receiver and none on the buttstock. That is a trade off you’re gonna have to decide on. On my mossberg I run a traditional 2-pt sling coming off the left side at the front and rear but with this type of sling I can’t wear it slung up.

FFT Mesa Urbino QD sling adapter plate question…
xblax619 replied to SuzukiGS750EZ's topic in Benelli
Huh. Ya I don’t know what to tell ya. I never noticed that when I got mine a couple years ago. I don’t remember if there was an option to get left side or right side. As far as I recollect I got one of the remaining Noveske versions fft had for sale. I never installed mine to have the qd slot in the left side but I don’t think it mattered. Must be something FFT did to this new FFT version they’re selling now. I hope whichever u chose it all works out for you. Lots of luck. -
FFT Mesa Urbino QD sling adapter plate question…
xblax619 replied to SuzukiGS750EZ's topic in Benelli
https://freedomfightertactical.com/products/the-fft-qd-sling-plate-for-original-benelli-and-mesa-tactical-stocks i replaced the oem sling attachment point on my urbino with the above. u could turn it either direction to have the qd point on the left or right side. I am right-handed and have the qd attachment on the right side opposite my cheek. I use a magpul ms4 that can go around the right side of the stock over and around my right should and under my left arm connecting to to the left side of the qd attachment in front. everybody is different and has a different preference on how they wanna run their equipment. i went with the noveske qd attachment just to save me from drilling into the stock to add magpuls qd cup and deciding i didn’t like it after. ymmv. good luck. -
i agree. that wood is purdy.

I’m curious as to what the barrel length is on your sbr, as well as the overall length. I live in California so I am limited to my choices. That is unless the NFA gets thrown out to which I’m hopeful but I won’t be holding my breath.

^this. i don’t have one yet but if i was gonna upgrade the trigger this is the one i would get. heard many great things about it. https://www.briley.com/p-58223-benelli-all-automatic-shotgun-models-match-triggers.aspx
