truckcop
Looks like they've changed names: http://www.kytactical.com/progressive_machine/Product.html
ayonke
Thank you very much for that. But something is still sketchy, the number is disconnected, and the emails get returned, and its still the old number and address. Just with a different web address. Damn i really want more of those barrel clamps!!!
truckcop
Oh well. I think I said it somewhere else but I've learned that when I find something that really works and I really like, I go back almost immediately and buy two or three more, just for such contingencies. Consequently, I have boxes of neat stuff sitting around waiting for the original to break, wear out, get ripped off or the company go out of business. And if push comes to shove, there will be someone willing to pay a rediculous price for whatever it is once they no longer become available, assuming I'm willing to let go of it. xamoel
their charging handle looks awesome! is it compatible with the m4? i know they say only m1/m2, but it looks quite similar?
tactical1
Don't think so - think the length of the 'shafts' are different
xamoel
strange, because other people were refering to a charging handle from progressive machine and tool for their m4, and the only one they offered was the one for the m1/m2? maybe someone who owns one can comment on this? cody6.0
I don't own one of there charging handles but I have a M2 and M4 and the OE handles are different. The M2 uses a oblong post to keep it from moving where as the M4's is just round.
truckcop
Ayonke; I got info from someone in Kentucky that Progressive went out of business about a year ago. Some of their products are still available at: http://shootersconnectionstore.com/Progressive-Machine-C128.aspx Unfortunately, it doesn't look like either the charging handle or barrel clamp is available. xamoel
that's bad news. does anyone else make a non rotating handle that can be used for the M4? kip maybe?
LeoAtrox
does anyone else make a non rotating handle that can be used for the M4? There is still someone making a non-rotating handle. WWW.FREEDOMFIGHTERTACTICAL.COM I cannot comment on the product itself as I have never used (or even seen) one, and don't know the type of steel (says 32-36 Rockwell hardness) used or weight. But I did confirm with FFT that it is non-rotating. EDIT: Added picture from their site so you can visually see that it is a non-rotating type. ayonke
Thank you very much, that was great. Unfortunately they dont have the charging handles anymore but they do have the barrel clamps as part of the mag extension kit so i will definitely be ordering a couple of those. Thanks again for your help.

truckcop
Kool beans. I love it when a plan comes together. I ordered a couple more shotgun shell caddies.
Unobtanium
FF handle is probably 4140 or similar. Weight concern, imho.
recon215
I have a barrel clamp I just took off of my Benelli M1S90. Not sure what I paid new, but make me a reasonable offer and it's yours! Only new here because I googled this part to see what it costs new so I could sell it on another shooting forum! Will leave it here till Friday, then it goes over there where I am sure it will go fast. And yes, they are closed for over a year now.
