cspcrx Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 What didn't you like about it? +2 I am very impressed with mine! Quote
Domonlord Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 +3. I'm late to this, but I planned on getting one. What's wrong with it? Quote
Barney Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 There was nothing wrong with it. workmanship is flawless. I did not realize that a heat gun was required to dis-assemble the original and replace it with the carrier comp product and I did not want to deal with that. Quote
Hardcharger Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I had someone heat up the gun for me at a shop and I put the gun back my self. had I knowned it was easy I would have done it my self. a 2 year old can do it just heat the ( Magtube ) till it starts to turn and smoke than use oven mit with like large wrench go easy on it half inch turns at a time. just make sure when you put it back together to use the bracket that goes in between the tube and the chamber use blue 242 loctite on the threads I wait waited 3 days before I did anything with mine. carriercomp or nothing............... cspcrx Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Second that. I must admit I was a bit worried but it really was not that hard at all and nothing got damaged. Quote
NEWGUNNER Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 A Heat gun is essentially a high powered hair dryer, I can't believe that kept you from installing such a fine product, I have one and installed it, child's Play, Superior to oem tube. Quote
M4-Desert Camo Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Has anyone ever used the heat gun on a camo painted (OEM) finish? At some point I want to add the desert camo finish one Kip offers but I'm concerned the heat gun will damage (bubble?) the painted OEM finish. Quote
StrangerDanger Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Using a heatgun, you should be fine heating a camo model. Many people have done so. Quote
