MtGoat
I was looking at a new comfort tech forend for my 20 gauge M2 as the finish is wearing off the original forend. I looked on the Benelli website, Midwest, and Brownells and none show a 20 gauge specific forend. Does the M2 12 and 20 gauge a well as the SBE2 all take the same forend? The outer layer of "finish" has come off of the synthetic forend by the receiver. Should this be a warranty issue? The gun is a bit older but I would not expect the finish to have failed. truckcop
20 gauge forends are not the same as 12's and are not interchangeable.
GoetzTalon
I heard of the older M-2's with the grip tight coating had some peeling issues and benelli replaced them for new ones. I have a 20 ga. M-2 and this is its second hunting season of busting brush for rabbits and the finish is still good on mine.
Benelligunny
if you have the older silver flake on black forend then yes they do wear and even become tacky after a while. They only come in solid black now. I'd suggest sending the stock and forend to Benelli and They would probably set you up with a new set.
