MNtadpole 20
Just got an email that the Benelli store got restocked with OEM night sights. Does anyone here have any experience comparing the Benelli against the Meprolights? I've heard that people haven't been too impressed with the Meprolights, so I am curious to know if the Benelli branded ones are an improvement.
Milspec 38
I'm wondering the same thing along with another question. I wish I saw your thread before I posted mine.

Vertigofirearms 59
I'm looking at new ghost rings upgrades. I wonder if LPA supplies tritium sights to Benelli. They have it in their catalog but only for the rear I see as D3. Or what would be funny is if Meprolight supplies tritium sights to LPA and they resell along with their items. StrangerDanger 417
I don’t think I’ve ever handled a set of the oem night sights. I’d bet they are rebranded Meprolights. I sent a set to Tooltech a few weeks ago to have Trijicon lamps installed for a client. They indicate it’ll take 10-12 weeks. The sucky part is you have to send the whole rear sight assembly along with the front post. Removing the rear sight assembly will likely damage the two screws that hold it to the receiver. The rear aperture is replaced by then. The front post is drilled for the lamp. The job isn’t cheap either. 250 bucks plus shipping both ways.
Vertigofirearms 59
That makes no sense at all! Why send them the entire rear assembly when you can just take out the sight? Tooltech can just buy the rear and front sight from Benelli or LPA and do their $250 overpriced install on the two parts instead of that backwards process. I am pretty sure XS uses Trijicon inserts for the front sight. I went with LPA, Hi-Viz, and a XS sight (on the way) fiber optic.
StrangerDanger 417
I agree. Didn’t make much sense to me either. Definitely not worth the cost to me. Then again I took my iron sights off!
Vertigofirearms 59
LPA D5 and HIVIZ M12010 fiber optics. I know the HIVIZ looks a little off. Edited July 7, 2020 by Vertigofirearms
ClackClackBAM 51
Bringing this thread back because I'm interested in a set of night sights. I figured the Benelli sights were rebranded and since they aren't that great overall, I'm going in a different direction. LPA, XS, Trijicon, HiVIZ, is there anyone else I should be looking at? Vertigofirearms 59
Absolutely NOT Hi-Viz
ClackClackBAM 51
Thanks for the heads up on this
Milspec 38
I’m using a new Benelli front sight nut when I add my night sights. The OEM nut is a lock type with the nylon insert. Any need to apply blue loctite or is using a new nut good enough? What’s everyone else been doing in regards to new nut/old nut and loctite?
GTTom 24
I used blue locktite when reusing the original nut. If you have a new nut with unmolested nylon insert I would not use any locktite that is what the insert is for.
StrangerDanger 417
The nylock is good enough. If reusing the old nut, use some blue Loctite. I bought a bag of these. Basically a lifetime supply for what Brownells charges for one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B088JRNP97?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
