Love the Scalarworks RMR on my M4 but will it be reliable in rain / snow?

After researching on this forum I went with the Scalarworks RMR package for my M4. Absolutely love it. It’s accurate and target acquisition is very fast. But I’m worried about all-weather conditions usage. Users on other forums have mentioned some issues with the RMR in the rain / snow. I myself have had the RMR fog up going from the (air conditioned) car to the outdoor shooting line. I’m wondering if the Aimpoint T2 might be a better option in bad weather?

Has anyone had any issues with the RMR in rain or snow?

Why is the RMR the preferred choice over the T2?

RMR's work on pistols because the action of the slide violently shakes the optic. Not so on the Benelli. I'd never use an open-emitter design on a hard use long gun.

There's no way around it an rmr can get obscured by rain, snow or mud. But you could just blow it off or go with the aimpoint.

Aimpoint with see through dust covers. I usually shoot with the covers on, but if they get badly obstructed, I can quickly pop them up for clear sight picture.
