TH,

I believe mudhen likes the Rhino .660's with Winchester 3.5" XR's.

Given the fact that he posts more gobbler kills every year than the rest of us combined, you'd be well-advised to give them a try as well.

Shot a few toms with my SBE II so far:

I have found the Rhino .660 1.5" works best with Win 3.5" XR's #5's, but the Primos Jellyhead .660 works just a tad bit better with Win 3.5" XR's #6's.

Both tubes and both shells travel with me everywhere I turkey hunt...

Hey Mudhen, just out of curiosity; how does the Jellyhead compare to the stock crio full?

Dunno.

I've never fired a shot through any Benelli factory choke tube.

The JH shoots almost the same as the Rhino - both being .660.

Hello to all, I just got my SBE II as well and am kinda concerned. It sounds like no one likes the factory chokes. Is there something wrong with them? I think I am gonna get a Rhino for turkey but am unsure about waterfowl next season. Any advice would be appreciated. Please give pros and cons about factory chokes.

I have an early SBE and use a Rhino .640 choke for Turkey and Buckshot. It shoots both extremely tight. The Pattermaster I bought before it didn't shoot well at all.I don't know if Rhino makes the .640 tube for the Benelli anymore. If they do I'd try one if I were you.

Some people have nothing good to say about anything? LMAO Why would the factory tubes not be any good, i feel that they would suffice for most applications and people just want something NEW $ EXPENSIVE BUTT whats to say that aftermarket manufacturers have not done their home work and i expect the differences to marginal at best!! But i am an native arkanite and what would i know!!

I'd try Win HV copper coated lead #5's or #6's. I've kilt a few birds with that load.

I just like the XR's because they seem to have a bit more range and knockdown power.

If I didn't travel to hunt and spend what little $$$ and vacation time I get, I'd shoot those HV's all day long.

(IMHO) I think the full choke that came with my SBE II is just fine.
