  1. Just got an email that the Benelli store got restocked with OEM night sights. Does anyone here have any experience comparing the Benelli against the Meprolights? I've heard that people haven't been too impressed with the Meprolights, so I am curious to know if the Benelli branded ones are an improvement.

  2. Geissele made only a hammer. The only performance benefit from it was how hard the surface treatment is. They show very little wear after thousands of rounds. Even the OEM hammer gets beat up a little when hitting the firing pin and the base of the bolt carrier. They’re not worth the retarded prices we see since I have never seen a M4 hammer work out to the point that it stopped functioning. I’ve installed probably 50 sets of FFT trigger packs. I haven’t had one fail. I have had to fit a few to certain trigger packs in the past. The fitting was minor. Mainly the hammer wouldn’t move freely since the trigger frame was too narrow. This only occurred on the old aluminum OEM frames. Not saying it can’t happen on the polymer ones, but I haven’t seen it. These trigger kits are getting difficult to get from FFT. It’s always a waiting game for the past few years. I have no idea who actually makes them for them. Briley makes decent stuff and would be an excellent option. Some don’t like the titanium nitrate finish on the trigger. You could have it painted whatever color you want. I’m not sure if they make the parts in house or not. I have no experience with the set that Benelliparts sells.

  3. It’s a painted Cerakote H2O, not NP3. It would have to be less than 1800 for me to be interested. Shotgun alone, I wouldn’t be interested in the optic.

  4. That hard 90 degree angle should have been radiused by Benelli. Glad it helped. That’s why they recommend safety glasses when working on guns. Pins and springs can get sent to low earth orbit.

  5. There was something done in the 2000's that made all these things degradable. I had 20 pairs of echo shoes do it. They replaced them and the replacements did it. All the Microsoft mice and keyboards from that time had a soft plastic coating. All degraded. I have 8 JBL LSR 4328 Studio monitors and the 4312 subwoofer that had this rubberrized coating on them and they turned to goo. My 2002 Landcruiser armrests just starting breaking down. Really is ticking me off. It turns into an absolute mess. The Navy's Bates shoes soles all do it. You can find a ton of pix showing high ranking guys at Navy ceremonies in socks. They don't wear those white shoes that much, few times really in their careers. They put them on for a ceremony and they chunk apart having only been worn a few times. First I heard of buttpads doing it, but it don't surprise me. May be done in an attempt to make them bio degradable...

  6. DFWSFO, Just wanted to offer my sincerest thanks for your help and taking the time to post on this subject and offer an alternative. I appreciate your willingness to spend some time and trying to help me resolve my concern. Thank you. I decided to go with the ScalerWorks mount and the RMO6. My M4’s primary role is home defense and although I don’t like the co-witness view it just seemed to make more sense given my desire to have the iron sights readily and immediately accessible In the event of an (albeit rare) optic failure.

  7. Thanks! The mounts are easy to install. The front Mount is part of the IWC light/sling mount. It replaces the factory front sling mount. https://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/product/multi-light-benelli-m4-mount-scout/ The rear QD sling mount is also from IWC. It fits right thru the factory sling loop. It’s pretty easy to install as well. https://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/product/qd-rotation-limited-buttstock-sling-mount-n-slot/

  8. Blue Force Gear Vickers. I prefer the non padded. It's less bulky and I find it easier to maneuver.
