  1. Pretty interesting review from Garand Thumb on the 1301 and how it stacks up to the M4. https://youtu.be/sDIUgeOzCDM

  2. Quite a mark up. As much as you’d think the trigger group would benefit from being plated, the performance gain is negligible.

  3. This just crossed my feed. Most parts you all already knew, but looks like they have a newer "tactical" bolt release, and more interesting 6 position buffer tube.

  4. I usually use the magazine springs that are included with the kits. Otherwise just estimate about 1 foot/300mm longer than the magazine tube. I have a mix mash of brands from Remington, Wolff, Benelli, and Beretta springs in my guns. I honestly couldn't you tell the difference apart from Wolff is shiny.

  5. Feels like I bought a tax stamp since I'm already like 8 months on my ACRO P-2. ?

  7. New to the forum, but I have a brand new, in box, never mounted Truckee 11” available. I decided to go the Briley route as well. Shoot me a message if you’re interested.

  8. Agreed. I found the fright sight post frustrating as well. I experienced the same twisting of both parts. Makes you wonder if they have some kind of jig or tool in the factory. I think I finally took wood shafts from cotton swabs and placed one on each side of the post to keep it straight. Then held the wing'd piece with my fingers. It was a pain for me anyway. The rear sight was pretty straight forward.

  9. Un screw the tail cap end. They make a special tool for it, or you can take needle nose or similar pliars, place them in the indents, and unscrew it. This will allow removal of the clip as well as replacement of the boot if necessary at any juncture.

  10. Agree with IWC light mount being the best option. I have a Briley hand guard on one of my Benelli’s. It is really simple to remove and install (slide it over mag tube, then slide barrel through top of hand guard, attach barrel nut - no tools needed to install or remove). It is also tight and does not rotate. It really is a great design. The only things mounted on mine are a stage saver, QD sling mount, and offset light. The hand guard is wide and accessories don’t interfere with the ARGO system. It might be the best forend on the market for the M4. Problem is - it weighs almost 10 oz without accessories! It makes the gun very front heavy. I have a factory 7 rd steel mag, was thinking of trying Briley’s carbon fiber tube, but not sure if that will make much difference. My other Benelli (go to) has the IWC mount with Surefire 300c light. I also have 200 shells through that gun since mounting the IWC - no loosening at all with blue loctite. This really seems to be the way to go!

  11. I’m away from the shop. After you remove screws (113) you would make some spacers that go in the screws, between cheek pad (111) and stock (124). You could also stack washers if you want a cheap solution.

  12. Here is a Diagram of the Trigger Assembly. Safety Disassembly We are now moving on to the manual safety in the Trigger Group. Use a 3/32" punch to tape the Safety Plunger Retaining Pin out from either side.
