Howdy folks! Been meaning to get around to posting my m1014 for a couple weeks now that I finally finished it up. Of course like probably every single person that owns an m4 variant of some type, I owe a huge amount of thanks to StrangerDanger. I believe I used something like 5 of his guides. As well as received some help and encouragement via PMs. Not my first firearm, but the first time I did any "gunsmith" sort of activity. I had only done basic cleaning and maintenance up to this point:

Hello, as a now owner of 4 Benellis, I figured I’d come by to learn a few things and share some of my opinions and insights. Looking forwards to contributing and learning.

I run my M4 Entry with the Scalarworks Sync Aimpoint T2 optic package. That allows me to run the c-stock in the middle position so it saves me more than just the 4 inches from the shorter barrel. It “feels” significantly shorter than the standard M4 and like @rubicon20032003 said it balances really well so target transitions are much easier and faster. The lower capacity (6 rounds) isn’t a concern for my particular situation but you’ll have to decide if it is for you. I paid “pandemic panic pricing” for mine and still don’t regret it at all. I have two 11715 M4’s, a LTT Beretta 1301 (huge mistake), a Remington 870 Express (Tactical) that I’ve relied on for 30+ years, and the M4 Entry is, by far, my favorite shotgun. It’s the last shotgun I would ever sell. As an aside, and you might well know more than I do when it comes to Gunbroker, but I’m reluctant to trust auctions with stock photos. You could get a blue receiver M4 or worse ……

I presume this was the last, or next to last round in the tube. If correct in my presumption, your issue is that you need a new mag spring. I recommend Carriercomp's, and if you cannot source that, FFTs.

You can watch all the videos you want, I’m just answering from personal experience where you didn’t know if you’d live another day. Not based on YouTube. Of course anything is possible, just wasn’t my experience. And yes, breaching doors wasn’t the primary purpose, I’m just saying it was used for that as well. The gun was used a lot on dogs too.

Took a chance and tried to promote my SRO tools at a local gun show. Had my M4 on display just to draw attention and was offered $4500 for mine set up the way it is. If I knew it wouldn't be hard to replace it without paying the new higher prices that they are selling for, I probably would have. I was really shocked about it.

Oh I know, I’m not claiming that either since that is subjective. But of course I personally think it is Shotgunners will purchase what they feel they like best, that’s what makes USA great, free choice!

Ya the titanium and grade of stainless steel I use really increases the materials cost. But I have an all steel one coming out next week for 54 bucks… same locking design. I had to do an extra heat treat on it to get the tang deformation under control (regular 4140 heat treated bar stock didn’t cut it for me). Mil spec hot black oxide finish. The titanium handle is in my opinion a work of art made with premium exotic metals and cerekote finish. It is for the M4 owner that only wants the best of the best bar none.

I've found the M4 to be extremely robust and reliable. The manual of arms may be different, but it is also very good for its intended purpose.

The m4 is a combat shotgun. If you want a competition gun, the m2 and 1301 are currently the two to beat.

No but the more you shoot it the easier it gets. That’s my experience

I've had both and prefer the 14". The sole con to the 14" is you have a seven shell capacity vs a nine shell one. Shown below alongside my other spaghetti guns.

GGG is all I have tried. I have two on two different guns. With my experience with what I have I do not know why I would try anything else. I like them a lot

So far I think that's what I like the least? The M4 is a fat dirty pig. lol I couldn't believe how dirty mine was inside in only 75 rounds? (mostly buck and slug) I finally gave in and bought one this spring to get my own opinion on how much was steak, how much was sizzle. Separate the truth from the fanboy fappery if you will. lmao I'm sure I'll be chased from the forum with torches and pitchforks, but thus far I'm just not seeing it. It's a great gun, I guess, but not matching the price or the hype thus far.
