This is something im very interested in for my M4

This is incredibly exciting. I know you said you can't say more about the mount itself -- but are you able to give a rough release date? Or what quarter you think you might bring it to market?

say more... I think I've tried every possible light mounting solution out there (and some custom ones) and have yet to find something that's "just right" for me. I want to mount the light further ahead to minimize/eliminate shadow while being able to tuck in as close to the barrel/mag tube as possible (preferably right in between the barrel/tube) for a streamlined look, while being strong enough to take the recoil/beating. Curious to see what you come up with!

I wish I could say more but I’m deep in R&D on a system that is unobtrusive, Will mount the light near the muzzle and comfortably mount a remote switch near the handguard. It also takes down with no tools. Angled to match the stock, with a bias towards the butt pad closer to the side of the case because, well, it's a butt pad. I wouldn't say it's comfortable but it's definitely possible. Probably more so if you angled it completely from corner to corner. So, FWIW this will fit a collapsed M4 and you won't have to pay extra airline fees because the 1700 is just within the limits for large bags for air travel. (62 linear inches) @bigoo7e
