The daily record for dove by one person is something like 6000+- a few hundred. A decent shoot in Argentina is 2000+ shells fired with a bag determined by the shooter's ability. Cooked correctly, they are delicious. Cooked poorly, they taste like old liver. A few states have a daily limit of 12-15. Most states are 10. 10 dove is a good meal... mudhen - CA

It's all well-known industry gamesmanship involving Olin and USRAC. Winchester semi-auto shotguns have not been 'made' anywhere for many years, just parts put together and sent to Winchester USA's warehouse. Many long guns will be made at a new facility in Japan. mudhen - CA

No heat, like WH said, you will melt the nylon threaded retention washer. 17 mm flat wrench works best for me. First time was not that easy. mudhen - CA

Yes. Big enough to hold ducks, deer, turks, hogs, etc. No. Don't need many, that's what the BBQ is for. n/a - but did you really think we shot these ducks just to watch them die mudhen - CA

FYI, wearing gloves has no bearing on my preference for the new trigger guard. It just fits my hand better when hunting and moving around when hunting. Hard to describe why, you just have to have one to understand I guess... mudhen - CA

I see factory chokes on E-Bay all the time - cheap. Briley & Carlson would be fine for a factory type IC. Yes, you got shorted - comes with 5. mudhen - CA

1) Mag cap on the SBE is aluminum, just like the insert on the SBE II. No more no less durable. Both will wear out over time. Kinda a wash IMHO. 2) Stock swivel attachment seems to be holding up ok. Don't know what Benelli will do of these start breaking. Kinda $$$ to have to get a new stock if just the swivel attachment breaks. I do get much less rust with the new attachment. 3) For me, the trigger guard is maybe the new feature I like the best. I hunt 100+ days a year, and the trigger guard was clearly designed by a serious hunter. If you are a weekend warrior or only use your Benelli at the range, you may not appreciate the new shape. mudhen - CA

I paid $1170 for a camo SBE II. If you found a camo NIB SBE I for $670, then it is probably a good deal! mudhen - CA

You cannot kill a duck with the SBE I. You must have the SBE II. These are not the droids you're looking for... mudhen - CA

Go to a Benelli dealer and ask to see the 2006 dealer catalog. All the info on the new 2006 models are listed in the "2006 New Items" section. I just looked at all the SuperNova models today. Non-dealers will probably not get 2006 info any sooner than regular retail customers... mudhen - CA

Not that I really need to mention this, but your reading comprehension needs some work "If someone wants to post a valid question about a problem or whatever, fine." Feel free to post what you want, but I feel just as free to be all over you like white on rice if I think you are merely promoting your own personal agenda It goes both ways folks... mudhen - CA

You have to pry the retaining ring out with a small flathead screwdriver or something like that. Pry where the depressions are. mudhen - CA

PM me with your address and I'll send you at least one factory choke from my SBE II. Pick the one you want most. After that, there are many great AM chokes out there. I like Carlsons for cheap but reliable, and Rhino for $$ but perfection... mudhen - CA

There have been numerous posts here on the SuperNova. Use the search key. If your Benelli dealer has a distributor price list, which he should, he can show you all the photos and info on the new line. The 2006 price list has been out for several months now. If Benelli is out of the older Nova, so be it. I hear the new one is much better and probably worth the wait. mudhen - CA

How did you eventually get the broken threaded portion out? Easy out? Some SureCycle users have gone back to the factory tube after having problems. Maybe your new SS tube was made wrong? Maybe just a fraction off? Bad spring? Dunno. Otherwise, I would agree with your own assessment that something is binding in the trigger group. I would box the entire gun up and return to Benelli. Have the trigger group looked at and see what they find. Maybe have them reinstall the factory recoil tube assembly? I have had no problems with a 16 y.o. SBE once I started cleaning the tube with a drill and bore brush. Good luck! mudhen - CA

"What gives you the right to tell people to go elsewhere if they don't agree with you." You are infringing on my rights Benelli should pay me They should name a gun after me - the Mudhen II - the camo pattern would be just mud colored with a little coot feces mixed in... They should give me a free Cordoba since no one will want that piece of crap anyway since it does not have a slug barrel mudhen - CA
